“Food Food Food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 20, 2013

The best place to go to if you love food. The halwais selling Jalebi near the railway station and the eateries opposite the Gurudwara and the Paranthe waali galli are a must visit. Definitely try the paneer tikka and pan kulfi opposite the Gurudwara. Try the lassi in the Paranthe waali galli.

“Dirty, crowded but excellent feel of a centuries old walled city”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 18, 2013

The place is crowded, dirty but also centuries old. You will feel being part of history when you walk down its various lanes like Ghantaghar, Paranthe Wali Gali etc.

Be ware of pickpockets, touts and scamsters especially if you look foreign.

“If you like the smell of old things and spices then must go”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 18, 2013

Difficult to say what I do not like....

What I like in a descending order are
- People and chaos
- food esp street food
- energy
- spices
- ethnic garments
- ancient buildings
- silver jewellery
- exotic food items
- temples/gurudwara/mosques
- wholesale markets for almost all items (a full market of camera accessories)
and a lot more

Very highly recommended if you are not afraid of crowds
