“Rude staff”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 days ago NEW

I stayed at this hotel with my family for a couple of days. The issues that I want to highlight about this hotel is that the housekeeping never bothered to clean the rooms in time....I had to request them. Once during the buffet breakfast i requested one of the staff for water with normal temperature for my son who is just 5 years old ,not once but twice...in between another staff brought the water for us. And when the previous staff came with the water I politely told him that we have been given and his reply was with a sulken face. ....then why did u ask for it......Pathetic.

Overall it's a very nice hotel despite it having its own weakness. Even though it's located almost at the heart of Delhi, they need to do something so that clean the roads leading to the hotel. If you are just taking a cab there is no issues but if you enjoy walking around you will not like it as the road leading to the hotel is littered with cowdung, human excreta and people sleeping on the pavement. And the hotel management needs to keep a tab on their housekeeping staff as they normally avoid doing the daily cleaning by telling you that there was DND (do not disturb) when you have never done that. This happened twice on my 6 nights stay. Even though the gym has precor machines there is nobody to help you out. And the swimming pool is too near to the lobby and restaurant. And yes there are couple of staff too who are arrogant even though most of staff are pleasing and helpful. And also the best thing is you can around to gole market which is next door if you need anything to buy from fruits to any eatables. And Connaught place is at a walkable distance.

I will definitely stay here again despite all the problems I faced.

Room Tip: Choose rooms facing Connaught place.

Is the second time that I spent two nigjts in Delhi in this hotel. It is a pleasant hotel, the staff very friendly and helpfull and rooms are comfortable and very clean. Spa is good enough if you want to relax . Breakfast is good and dinner buffet has a variety of europian and indian food, very tasty BUT very expensive. During our 23 days tour in India we stayed in 15 different hotels, some of them equal or better than the Metropolitan hotel. Nowhere dinner buffet was so expensive.

I had stayed in the hotel for a couple of nights on a business visit.
Although the Hotel Property is average; the food and beverages are a rip off. The price of food and beverages is as high as deluxe 5 star properties; but the hotel doesn't even closely resembles a 5star property.

Good hotel and location but you are not allowed to take a beer and sit by the pool side whilst your kids are having a swim. I appreciate this isn't a beach/pool type of hotel but one of the things I like to do is sit and relax by the pool side with a drink. I queried this with the staff and they told me it was hotel policy. Don't think I will be stopping here again unless they can get the basics right. The chef was brilliant and made us some aloo paratha that wasn't on the menu that day. Also no free wifi unlike other hotels.

My wife and I and our two kids (10 and 7) stayed in the hotel in August 2014. As others have mentioned, it's in a great location--maybe 1.5 miles from Connaught Circle. Mr. Sameer Behel, the food and beverage manager made us feel very welcome, answering all of our questions patiently, and making sure our kids were satisfied. He offered the kind of service you wish you had more often--kind and genuine, not the forced professionalism a lot of places now call service. The breakfast buffet was excellent, with many different options including made-to-order omelets and Indian specialties.
