My friend and i stayed here just for one night when we arrived in to delhi. The hotel was really clean and really nice. Our room was clean and the beds were really comfy - we both slept well and were very happy with our room. The staff were attentive and helpful and friendly but not pushy. The spa melt amazing but we didnt unfortunately have time to use it! We will next time we are here. We will definitely come back and stay here and would recommend the hotel to anyone. We felt it was really good value for money.

Large room and comfy bed. TV had many channels in various languages. Yes, the wi-fi and the chutney were expensive. The breakfast was very tasty. The pool looked lovely, so bring a bathing suit! The hotel has a decent concierge service and helped me print an Email for a tour. They also have a currency exchange at the desk which came in handy.

The hotel, though over 10 years old has been able to maintain itself! Its main business however seems to be conferences , conventions etc. The food and service was satisfactory. The swimming pool was ok. The rooms were well furnished though not opulent , and clean.

Room Tip: All rooms seem to be ok!

Located 2 to 3 km from New Delhi Railway Station(NDLS). Prepaid Auto will take INR 65/-. Taxi cab may cost about INR150/-. From Indira Gandhi International Airport take metro rail (airport express). Ticket is INR150/-, get down at Shivaji Stadium station and walk a kilometer or take auto rickshaw. Alternate is get down at NDLS( last station of airport express), take exit to Pahar Ganj side and take auto or taxi from there. Prepaid auto or taxi is advisable.
This is a very good hotel and centrally located to all facilities. Delhi Tourism, Connaught place, cottage industries and Jantar Mantar are within 2km radius, better to say walking distance.
Rooms are spacious, well furnished, well decorated. Buffet breakfast is included in rate. Quality of food is very good. Staffs are nice and helpful. I will recommend this hotel for stay

[Full disclosure: I came to The Met from the vastly superior Oberois in both Delhi and Mumbai and have stayed at Taj Palace in past.] Stayed for a week in early May. Never used spa; pool was nice enough. Great location and generally comfortable, but some key problems. Upsides: I got a very reasonable online price including breakfast and wi-fi. Near Connaught Place and good access to most of New Delhi. Attentive and friendly staff, 24 hr regular restaurant. On-site Japanese restaurant genuinely good. Was usually quiet enough, and I'm sensitive to noise. Water pressure good and shower head options a pleasure. Downsides: AC vent blows directly on bed, and I was told all rooms were the same in that regard. I can't sleep that way, so no AC overnight. Also, mattress hard enough to negatively affect my back. They rushed up a topper, and it helped, but was quite lumpy. Cleanliness just okay, as in good enough. Breakfast buffet served purpose, but was nothing special. Didn't try RS1600 dinner buffet. Room felt a bit small and was lacking shelf space; no clothing drawers. Bathroom also very short of shelf space and had awkward door arrangement. Tiny in-room safe. Good proportion of non-counter staff were limited with English. Security was somewhat lax and elevator could be used w/o room key. If you pay for wi-fi, you will pay dearly. Overall, I can recommend based largely on location and price, but The Met is not in category of other top Delhi hotels and doesn't deserve 5 stars.

We stayed here for 3 nights prior to our 4 week tour of India. This Hotel has had some poor reviews in the past and I suspect they have made changes to address some of these. It is still far from being 5 star which we understood it to be. On two of our evenings there were only 4 people eating in a very large dining room. Our main problem is that the travelling youth of S. Korea have discovered this hotel and expect to party each evening until the early hours swapping from room to room on the floor. All 3 of our nights were spoiled by lack of sleep. The reception offered to move us but where to go when they seemed to be on every floor. My advice to all those needing a good nights sleep would be to give this place a wide berth.

Room Tip: There were none while we were there.
