“Perfect for business or relaxation”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 7, 2012

Lovely hotel - from the welcoming faces as you approach the gate to the intoxicating scent of jasmine wafting down the halls to the delicious breakfast.

There was construction in front of the hotel but it was never once a disturbance. The property was quiet and relaxing. I enjoyed all my meals - in addition to the breakfast buffet in 1911, I tried two of the restaurants (Daniell's Tavern and The Spice Route) and one was better than the next. Staff also attentive and courteous.

Never made it to the pool but it looked very nice - did try the spa for a facial which was very good. Both professional and relaxing.

Just returned from a trip to the Golden Triangle in India. Fabulous! Made very special by the special Imperial Hotel in New Delhi. First class hotel. The service is excellent, the professionalism and wonderful friendly attitude of the staff is outstanding. The rooms make it easy to relax and rest after much driving.
Well worth a stay. Great way to start and end our trip. Will certainly go back.

Room Tip: A room with windows onto the atrium are very quiet.

This was my second trip the the Imperial in two years and i thought that it could not be better then the first experience but it was. I traveled there last year on business and only got to experience a few of the wonderful services they provide due to my time constraints. This time I had a bit more time and even though it was still business I managed to experience the vast array of things that the hotel offers. I believe that this hotel has some some of the best service if not the best service in the world. The location is perfect to all major areas in Delhi so works well for both work and pleasure. I look forward to going back. The hotel itself is a complete experience with an amazing City - I recommend it to all people going to Delhi.

To arrive in India and be taken to this hotel allows all you expectations to be exceeded. Great reception on arrival and the rooms are magnificent.

Enjoy the restaurants and the bars. A treasure chest of memorabilia from the Colonial days. A privilege to stay in a Lutyens designed building that is so brilliantly maintained.

there was construction outside of the hotel premises; 5+ restaurants to pick.
Great staff, attentive; very nice grounds.
Rooms are big and excelent for the value.
laundry service is 6 hrs deal and as good as Hong Kong!
Is a classic in New Delhi; not for those looking for contemporary, minimalistic lines.
The Spice Route is a thai-asian fusion restaurant. deserves to be checked.
no reservations if you are staying at the imperial.
We did the Taj-Mahal day tour on a hotel car; great time.
just don't fall for the "visit the marble sculptors" gig; Tourist trap alert.

The best things about this beautiful hotel are the super comfortable bed and the wonderful breakfast. The service is not as warm as The Leela and it has more the feeling of a business hotel rather than a relax/ holiday type hotel.

I love the arrival at the imperial hotel, through large gates flanked by security owing to the high end residents like Government Ministers, pop stars, and the lucky people who have heard of the hotel. All are treated the same by the staff, who are very helpful, and kind. The whole appearance of the hotel harks back to 'days of the Raj' but in a good way. Decor is old fashioned as befits a hotel of this nature. It has an outside pool, and upscale spa for last minute maintainence procedures. Massages are expensive, but the hotel is expensive! The hotel is fragranced throughout with Jasmine oil. It floats through the corridors and your room. As soon as I smell this scent, it takes me back to the Imperial. A Chanel boutique is in the reception area, which gives you an idea of the calibre of the hotel . If you can't afford to stay here, treat yourself to afternoon tea on the ground floor. A real treat .

Room Tip: First floor rooms seem to be the best
