This is disappointing to see a good Hotel mismanaged by Hilton. It was really good when it used to be Intercontinental. Hilton has taken over and did noting. In fact it might have reduced some front end staff, so poor customer service as a result of that.

Dear Mr. Sud,

At the outset, I would like to offer my apologies for your experience at our hotel. I am really glad that you have enjoyed your previous stays with us and I regret that your experience this time did not match up to your expectations. I would like to assure you now being a Hilton managed hotel, we are still as committed if not more to provide all our guests with a superior experience. Having completely accepted your feedback, I would just like to mention that there has been no reduction in the manpower at Front desk or any other department. The Hilton culture is still young at this property and all the staff members are excited about the change. I hope you will give us another opportunity and not judge us based solely on this stay. The Hilton brand is synonymous with great hotels and warm professional service and I assure you of a much improved experience the next time you visit us in New Delhi.

Warm regards,
Julian Ayers

I am a Hilton member, and was disappointed with the entire experience during my stay for couple of days last week...Only redeeming feature being the the business location of the hotel. The hotel looked very old property, and not upgraded/renovated to typicall hilton quality one usually expect. One could see this sub standard quality in the bathroom, grooming of the staff/front office , bell desk, even the lift was not closing properly. Beds were fine as well as the breakfast, however the rooms charges were very high at 10K Rupees per night and it does not justify the quality . I am sure not to return to this hotel.

My husband and I stayed here for a week while he was in New Delhi on business. The hotel lobby and grounds and staff are amazingly attentive and exceeded my expectations. My only complaint here is regarding the rooms in need of remodel and/or repair. Our electrical outlets were difficult and the coffee maker cord had to be held to work. Other than that, it was a heavenly oasis away from the crowds/noise/pollution of Delhi. The staff would call drivers for me and fix a fair price for the day or half day of my activities. It was extremely helpful for me and I was always grateful for the staff's help.

Great news: this hotel is a short walk to reasonably priced "fast" food in the Eros Corporate Tower where you can see a film, eat at Indian Express (cheap, decent veg thali), a great Lebanese grill where they cook fresh in front of you or even McDonalds for a decent veg breakfast McMuffin and Masala tea. You can also walk to the Lotus Temple within 1.5 km (free entry-just remember like all temples in India-it's shoes off, so plan accordingly by wearing old flip flops you aren't too attached to in case they get stolen).

Eros is located in Nehru Place which is near some schools and places of business, so it gets very busy during traffic times of school getting out and working hours at the offices. We were caught in traffic jams that wouldn't move more than once and if you don't fix a flat rate before getting into the taxi or tuk tuk, you will pay way to much for the ride.

Short trips to Lodi Gardens, Connaught Place, Sikh Temple, etc were well worth the time and effort. Just have the hotel staff here arrange a driver for you for the day. The driver will even take you to a good restaurant that isn't too expensive where you can enjoy Indian cuisine without getting sick.

Have fun!

Room Tip: We were on the 8th floor and were very happy with our view and our room.

I stayed here over the weekend of the first F1 Indian Grand Prix on the 10th floor and had access to the executive lounge as i'm a Hilton gold card holder.

The hotel has recently changed from being an IHG property to a Hilton and appears to have been renovated at least in the parts I have seen.

My room was large with an American king sized bed (as opposed to a European king size), and good work area with both wired and wireless internet. There is a new large flat panel tv on the wall, unfortunately let down by the signal quality.

The executive lounge offers a good buffet in the evening of local food and I was lucky enough to meet Mr Raghunandan Sharma the hotels Chef de Cuisine who was pleasantly surprised that my British palette loved his food.

I look forward to returning next year.

Room Tip: As for a hotel on the pool side of the hotel as they won't get the road noise.
