“Very nice!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 12, 2011

I stayed for a one night, not to mention that my fligt arrived at 2am; they had arranged me a taxi to pick me up, and it was probably 3am when i arrived the hotel. Staff was very nice (everyone in India is just so kind!), the room was spacious, clean, food was good and hospitality was amazing! Mrs. Kanta took her time to "hang out" with me in the morning over tea and breakfast, and helped as much as she could with my travel arrangements. I took a train to Rishikesh the day of but would have very much enjoyed staying with Mrs. Kanta for as many days as needed. Thank you so much!

Stayed at Lifetree for more than a week since I was travelling for work and due to last minute planning, couldnt find any budget hotels with rooms available at such a long stretch! Rooms are clean, spacious, and service is good. The parathas for breakfast are finger-licking good!! the only issue was that the place was a bit difficult to find at first, since lajpat nagar is quite a confusing area in terms of the roads(Can be quite confusing) but otherwise the stay was good and i would definitely recommend this place to budget travellers of all kinds! You will also meet other tourists from across the world(i met people from 3 continents) at the breakfast table over the 1 week. Mrs. Kanta is very friendly and goes out of her way to provide you with anything you want.

Room Tip: book well in advance

We can't rate this B & B highly enough. It was just amazing! We were met by Kanta who couldn't do enough for us. The room was lovely, clean and comfortable with beautiful views over the gardens. We had a smashing day in Delhi thanks to Kanta explaining various travel options and markets we could visit - she even hailed the rickshaw and negotiated the rate to our advantage. The evening meal was such good value and delicious, many choices and all cooked fresh before us. It was wonderful to have different nationalities sitting round the main dining table discussing their experiences! We would definitely stay here again on our return to Delhi. Our two sons at present in New Zealand will certainly be booking in on their travels through India. The experience we had made a wonderful end to our holiday.

I stayed at the Lifetree with my father for three nights, two at the beginning of our trip and our final night. We had a twin room, which was spacious and clean, with an ensuite shower room, a/c and cable tv. The accommodation was comfortable and the food was good. Mrs Kantra was friendly and welcoming, on our final night we ordered dinner, it was a delicious feast.
I was recommended this homestay by their son who runs the Tree of Life, I read the the family ran a car and driver hire business, they arranged for us to be picked up from the airport and then for us to have a driver for the rest of our time in India. Madam Lol was our driver, this was the best money we spent. He was friendly and informative. He listened to what we had to say and took us to places of interest to us aswell as the more usual sites, and also helped us with our choice of restaurants, Thank you Madam you made our trip.

We stayed 2 days at our arrival and 1 day before leaving. This was a perfect place in Delhi close to a market and quiet during the night. They can prepare nice plates that you can take in a convivial ambiance. A real plus compare to an anonymous hotel. The contact with the owner was friendly and I wont go to another place if I return to Delhi.
