“Nice rooms at the end of your busy day..”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 16, 2012

I stayed at this place about two years back when it as still being renovated but even that time I felt it has something that is inviting..Nice and decent place in a residential locality, not too business minded and yet very efficient.. The room , A/c. Bathroom.. everything immaculate..

Room Tip: I would take a room facing a triangle garden..

Normally i stay at the Hans in central delhi but this time decided to stay in Kaalkaji near nehru place. So made a reservation here and manager Mr Yoginger was quite cooperative.

Its in the main road of Kaalkaji and not much difficulty to find it. Met Mr Yoginder who arranged a room for me. From outside its a small property but neat enough. It has resturant near entrance and then the reception. It has got a small but well maintained lift.

I had booked a single room, but it was better than i expected. Very neat, tidy and well maintained. It had a double bed, Sony LCD, Mini bar, tea coffee maker.
Washrooms were clean too, had toiletries , got hot water almost 24 hrs, clean towels....
Beds were abit hard though, that can be improved.

Didnt have food just had dinner once and it was decent though they could ease the prices of food a bit, it was on expensive side.

I was a bit disappointed with Breakfast TBH, it had a brown bread sandwich , eggs , cornflakes and a north indian item like Puri sabji or paratha. I feel they need to add a bit more like south Indian Idli, Dosa and also Porridge or musli and not cornfakes always.

Overall a very decent stay at Rs 3500/- per night. Rooms were really good and well maintained and even being on main road it was not noisy at all. Staff are courteous as well.
Also taxi fare is Rs 400/- from Indira gandhi international airport so travelling is not much of an issue.

Things they can improve is - Breakfast items , A newspaper in room, bed was bit hard

I was hosted 4 days in GRD INN with 2 children aged 6 and 8. Family suite (2 rooms, 2 bathrooms) was really suitable for us.
Small hotel, but quite big, well equipped rooms, good restaurant, quite clean and quiet (although some noise and dust from the street cannot be avoided...) Anyway - Very OK mid-range hotel. And staff focused to arrange everything you need.

The rooms were newly remodeled. Unfortunately, we never had hot water and the beds were really hard. The area is off the tourist grid so there's less street hassle, but we never felt comfortable. We felt like everyone was watching us. Every time we opened the door, there was someone there. It was eerie.

The hotel's driver is a complete scammer. His name is Sonny, but he said his nickname was Lau. His real name should be Louse. Basically, we paid for a day of driving through the hotel--he forced us into a commission shop without us even asking, wasting our paid-for time.
The last day we had to go to the train station and he demanded $1,100 rupees--more than double what we should have paid. The hotel staff also shorted me some change when I checked out. I guess they thought I wouldn't notice? I just didn't want to argue with them, to be honest. Not a good experience.

I had been staying at the Crowne Plaza Today in Oklha, but this smaller hotel provides you nearly all the same comforts at 1/3 (or less) of the price. Great hotel that I keep coming back to for my business trips to our office in South Delhi.

The bed was hard as a stone. Or almost. :)

The "taxi" to the airport was arranged by the reception. In fact, it was not a taxi but an ordinary car from a friend. This is not a problem but a detail.

Taking advantage of the situation - because it was night, 4 o'clock in the morning - we were charged 1.250 IR to be driven to the airport when previously we had payed 500 IR for the inbound in a real taxi.

The receptionist "forgot" the promised sandwiches we talked about when we arrived which were supposed to replace breakfast.

The cleaning is acceptable according to the Indian standarts.

The restaurant at the entrance is OK.

Room Tip: Ask for a decent bed.
