Description: Like its celebrated predecessor at the Ambawatta complex, Thai High at the Qutab, brings together authentic cuisine, contemporary oriental design, indulgent service and one of the most romantic views in Delhi, to create an unforgettable dining experience. The restaurant, bar and rooftop terrace of this hyper-fashionable Delhi venue is once again the places to be in and be seen in, People arrive late and stay late, because once you are there, it’s almost impossible to resist the enchanted ambience created by candle-lit spaces, the sound of rippling water blending into musical gems from all eras, cocktails being shaken, and le tout Delhi meeting and dining with one another. Come to Thai High to sample refined cuisine, including the kitchen’s signature Crispy Vegetable Salad, Prawn Black Pepper, Lotus stem honey Chilli and Red Snapper Chilli Sour. These much-imitated favorites are joined on the menu by modern and healthy Thai and oriental dishes created by Head Chef Pu, formerly of Four Seasons in Chiang Mai, among them Steamed Fish in Lemon Chilli, Chilly Crab, Squid with crisped hot basil, Crispy Vegetables topped with tamarind sauce and Black Pepper Chicken Satay.

“Great Thai food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 13, 2013 via mobile

If you want a good Thai meal in Delhi head straight for Thai High, earlier known as Thai Wok at the Ambawatta Building. The restaurant is on the terrace level so one can enjoy the views of the Mehrauli part of Delhi. The evenings in the winter months are special as they put ageethis around. The food is excellent and has been so since it started. This restaurant is one of the best in this part of town.

“A good dining experience, marred by a horrible approach”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 11, 2012

The food is really good, the terrace setting beautiful, especially in the evening. However, getting to the place is a real headache. Located in the village behind Qutub Minar, there are no signs at all for the restaurant, which I found surprising. So naturally, drove way beyond to crowded by-lanes where only a Vijay Amritraj on an auto-rickshaw in a Bond movie should drive! The detour cost me a good 30 minutes, so was already cheesed off by the time I managed to locate the restaurant. The food, though, made up for it. My favourite was the stir fried prawns with bell peppers. The green curry was good though it could have done with some more lemongrass. And the mixed evening was rounded up with another billing issue where the restaurant claimed that the credit card was not working although we had already received payment confirmations twice (guess I can't really fault the staff for this).
Go there for the food, although make sure you have the exact location worked out.

“Good food, average ambience, improved service...”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 10, 2012

On a Point scale (out of 10):
Food: 8
Service: 8
Ambience: 6
Location: 8
Drinks: 6
Value for Money: 7
Idea for a romantic dinner: 8

Have been an ardent fan of Thai High (Ex Thai Wok) since so many years now and the food has remained absolutely same... Delicious, simple, high on flavors, reasonably decent on presentation, Good portions and a foodie's delight.
Service has improved since they re-opened 2 yrs ago so that was a respite.
Ambience is very average because at the core of it, the place is on a terrace with a little covered area. They haven't invested much in creating a Thai space except the normal buddha heads etc but then the views of Qutub Minar and Mehrauli are worth it. This could be any restaurant serving any cuisine...
We had a good time here and have always liked the place for its no nonsense food.

Being a veggie, we tried the Spicy Salad (which is their speciality) and another dish which had water chest nuts as its base... Both were quite nice.
For main course, we ordered Thai Green Curry which was finger licking..

Only negative was: Due to a private party, they were playing blasting music with no time restrictions.... That was a huge let down but then they worked around it after we showed concern.

All in all.. Good place for Delhi winter nights with nice thai food and good selection of wine.

“Best Thai Food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 13, 2012

The place is best visited betwqeen October and March, as its outdoor seating is better than its indoors. Has a great view of Qutab Minar and serves very authentic Thai Food. The Sea food preparations are particularly good as is their slads and soop. The staff is polite and the place has its own charm The prices are not over the top and the place is worth the visit.
