“decent hotel at affordable rates”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed July 4, 2012

Stayed here for almost 2 months. Room rates are around 3000 a night and par for 2-3 star hotels in the area (GK and nearby). Hotel has free wifi, rooms are decent but 2 things ruined the experience for me. My clothes were lost by laundry service and secondly the breakfast spread was minimal with 2 or 3 dishes being repeated week after week.

Plus would be the wifi and rates but negatives outweighed the positives for me.

Dear Mr. Appleby, thankyou for writting about us but we have NO record of anyone staying with us for 2 months, and NO one has lost any laundry at the hotel in the past 12 months. We are a business hotel based in the best part of the city and perhaps you have confused us with some other property. We do have free wi-fi and a complimetry buffet breakfast with a daily changing menu. Daily requests from all guests are taken for the breakfast menu as well. On you nexty visit to Delhi, please do visit us and experience our warm hospitality. Or do send us a mail for any assistance.
Thanks

I've stayed in this hotel at least 25 times so I should know. The hotel is a good one. It had great staff untill it came under the present management. The staff on my last visit were just OK. Till last year I have stayed there at Rs 3000 a night. Thats a good price for it. The Rs 9000 is massive overpricing. And with the induction of the new management Room Service is as expensive as a 5 Star Hotel. Service is probably at par as before or maybe theres a slight decline.

Room Tip: Negotiate for the price -- not more than Rs 4000 per night. And avoid rooms next to the first floor...

Hi, there seems to be an error on your information. The rooms are still very economical (around Rs.3500) and were never more. The owners have taken over the management as the co. managing was not maintaining the property as it should be. Now Gautam Residency is the best in value and amenities among all the hotels in New Delhi. You are welcome to try us out on your next visit. Cheers!!

The good part was the location and the price. The rooms were cold in December. The service was friendly if casual. The breakfast was very different from day to day - lukewarm spicy veg with deep fried bread one day - fluffy omelettes with newly made toast the next. The hotel is in walking distance from two markets with cafes and good shops - and the metro at Kailash colony as well. No cockroaches and reasonably clean. Surprisingly quiet considering the proximity to the road. All in all a good alternative, and reasonably close to the highway towards the airport.

Room Tip: Ask for the suite, if possible. It is better value than the double room, and not much more expensive.

The staff are very accommodating and helpful. We had booked 4 rooms for 3 nights on a official trip and one of our colleagues had a very bad knee problem. The staff went out of their way to help from shifting rooms to all other assistance. The rooms were nice though the bathrooms could have been a tad bigger. Functional breakfast. Location is real good.

Room Tip: The suites are very spacious

The hotel looked nicer on the website pictures than it does in reality, but it's ok if you're only staying for one night or two. AC, hot water, comfortable bed, friendly staff. Breakfast was quite bad.

Fantastic location since its close to the Greater Kailash M-Block market. We found some good restaurants in GK1 and Nehru Place. The rooms were clean and recently renovated. The lobby and front desk staff were very helpful and hospitable. They guided us for the best shopping ares and suggested a few places like Saket Select City Walk. We also visited the Lotus Temple one day with kids which is not far. The restaurant is very small for breakfast, however the food was good for a budget hotel.
