“Average food, good presentation, bad service”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed August 8, 2012 via mobile

Will go back only if I need to impress overseas guests. I wasn't impressed personally. I went there to celebrate a new job and left disappointed with the overall experience. Place is quite expensive, food is average but the presentation is nice. I mainly noticed foreigners there - always a bad sign. The worst part - when I asked the manager if we could take the leftovers to go, I got a lecture on why they cannot do that and how it is not inline with the restaurants concept vs. a simple no. I know of much better ways to spend an evening with my family.

“Great to impress someone”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 15, 2012 via mobile

Varq has everything of best quality but the food. Preparations are more likely to suit foreign tongues than Indian.
If I have to impress someone or pamper a loved one then I will definitely opt for the place but not as a gourmet delight.
It is more of a feast for eyes than for mouth.

“Expensive but unique”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 3, 2012

This is an experimental restaurant by Taj. Located next to Wasabi at Taj Mahal, Mansingh Road, the place offers unique twist to the Indian food.

The food and service was great.

Expensive place, but worth a try.
