Everything about the Lodhi is superb. The rooms are huge by any standard - each comes with an outdoor sitting area and a fabulous plunge pool. The food is excellent. Given its small size the service is unparalleled ! An amazing experience . The best stay I have had in an urban hotel anywhere.

The Hotel is amazing with modern style rooms that were large and very comfortable! I love the decor and actually took pictures of couch and arm chairs as I'd love to have those in my home! Each room is a mini suite with its own 'plunge pool' in the large private balcony.

Room Tip: corner suits

Please see the other reviews for a description of the hotel.

India provides many unique luxury hotel experiences, with the Lodhi’s accommodations being rightfully among the best. We usually prefer India’s royal homes, however, travel is also defined by service. This time we made an exception and I am grateful we did. Travel is an experience not entirely under your control and this is where your trip is either a forgettable nightmare or a fond memory.

Our initial stay at the Lodhi began with a headache as our travel to Delhi was delayed by fog. Not to worry – an early morning arrival was met with the smiling face of the Lodhi’s airport steward, Abhishek, who was waiting to take us to meet our car and driver after we cleared our baggage. The hotel staff waved us up to the rooms we had reserved. They were able to quickly and painlessly take care of the check-in process in the suites leaving us left to recover from our flight.

After visiting other cities in the area we found ourselves back in Delhi for our return home. Unfortunately, while our first trip through Delhi was merely a headache, this was every traveler’s nightmare. All flights from Abu Dhabi, which we needed to connect through, had been delayed for days as their airport was closed by fog. Unfortunately, no advance notice was given to us by the airline, which meant arriving at Delhi International at 1 am to see a crowd of shouting people at Etihad’s desk. We found out that onward travel was not available on Etihad, and would not be for days. We were at the mercy of a backed up airline and would have to delay our return home and any commitments there for days.

In the middle of our despair whom do we see? Abhishek, the Lodhi’s airport steward. He greeted us with a big smile and gave us information on the delays. He wisely suggested that we wait until morning to attempt to figure out our flights, made a discreet phone call and within minutes had us on our way back to the Lodhi. As we had recently stayed at the hotel the front desk staff did not even bother our two traveling parties (4 people in total) with check in details.

In spite of 4 days of flights ahead of us being cancelled due to the fog, Pankaj Sharma, the Senior Manager Airport Operations for the Lodhi, reassured us that he would get the tickets honored by another airline and would get us out the following day. He was able to accomplish a feat that neither our travel agent nor the airline (which was a code share with American Airlines, who informed us that we were on our own in spite of our Platinum status) was able to execute.

The hotel accommodations are first rate. If you are touring Delhi you will appreciate the personal pools and large suites on the property. The restaurants and bar are perfect. However the staff and the service they extend will define your trip. Why would you stay anywhere else in Delhi?

After arriving at the Lodhi following a few days at the Aman-I-Khas in Ranthambore, there was a high standard to match in both excellence of service and quality, and the Lodhi did not disappoint. The hotel provides an Airport Operations staff, which was warm, and helpful, meeting us at the airport upon arrival, and turned out to be an unexpected necessity when we had to move our subsequent flights around to avoid fog delays in Delhi. The Airport Operations staff jumped into action, locating and rearranging our flights, booking a hotel for a layover, and escorting us right onto our flight outbound, making the whole process as seamless as possible. Upon our arrival back to Delhi airport a few days later, we were faced with unexpected flight cancellations on our connection home, and a 4 day flight back up. Thankfully, we spotted Abhishek, a Lodhi Hotel Airport Operations staff member, in the terminal. He immediately took action, and booked us back into the Lodhi, arranged our transfer, and worked tirelessly along with his senior manager, Pankaj Sharma to get us booked on the next available flights home. The Airport Operations service they provide is not something you think you will need - until you do, and we felt we were in the most capable hands through some bewildering travel difficulties.

My husband and I did end up spending another 2 unexpected, but wonderful days enjoying the Lodhi. Lodhi's concierge, Shrjisti, was WONDERFUL, patiently arranging drivers (thank you Hitesh for your great service), tours and restaurant recommendations. The hotel itself is stunning- beautiful architecture, modern, stylish and well equipped rooms, and our room's private plunge pool was a pleasure to experience, warm enough for an afternoon refresh, and really elevated the whole experience on the outdoor deck overlooking the city. Great restaurants within, wonderful, warm service, both crisp and efficient. The hotel is nicely located - we enjoyed walking to the nearby Lodi Gardens. The Lodhi was formerly an Aman hotel, and still shares the same DNA. If you stay at the Lodhi, you will have an Aman experience, at a fraction of the cost. The standard of service is excellent and accommodating, also a mention of the hotel's management- Robin and her husband Mano, always on-hand to greet and meet, clearly run like a family business, albeit a highly professional one. The Lodhi really became our "home" while in Delhi, and we will certainly return to enjoy again.

Room Tip: We had rooms on both the 2nd and 5th floor, both would be recommended, we were in a far corner room...

The Hotel is amazing with modern style rooms that were large and very comfortable! I love the decor and actually took pictures of couch and arm chairs as I'd love to have those in my home! Each room is a mini suite with its own 'plunge pool' in the large private balcony. Unfortunately it was too cold in January to use the balcony or pool. They said pool was 'heated' but it was heated to 72 degrees and it was 50 degrees Farenheit outside so the pool was still too cold to go into. The room service for breakfast was okay, average and not great, first day food was cold, 2nd day was much better. The nighttime roomservice food was great! the hotel was a little pricey..maybe worth it if warm enough to use the pool and spa services. The spa menu looked amazing and very affordable prices but we had no time to book any massages or other spa services.
I would recommend this hotel and would stay again.

This hotel is amongst the best I've ever stayed in, anywhere in the world. The whole experience at the Lodhi is wonderful, from the warm welcome on arrival, in-room check-in to the beautiful room design...not to mention the fabulous plunge pools on each balcony. It really is a welcome haven from the hectic Delhi city life. Also had a fantastic massage and had one of the best hair cuts I've ever had in the Lodhi's spa and salon - would recommend a stay at the Lodhi to anyone looking for a luxurious and modern stay in Delhi.

Visited the hotel's in-house restaurant - on the waterfront and was amazed with the ambience and hospitality. The sitting over the water body is marvelous. The life kitchen is a treat to watch. The hospitality as expected was of highest order. A nice place for some quality time with someone special. Do book the table near live kitchen or over the water body (preferred) before you go to the place.
