Visited as part of a guided tour round the Golden Triangle. This was a very quick stay at this hotel before getting the flight home It is a big hotel, with reasonably good service from front of house staff although could have been better. Naturally high security around the hotel.

The hotel seems very flash and all about show - very gaudy lobby that wouldn't look out of place in Vegas, coupled with a fleet of Rolls Royces in the car park. There is a club in the hotel as well that is meant to be one of the main places to be seen in Delhi.

Was in a superior room, although that was an interesting interpretation of the word. It was tired, and on the whole clean, but the bed covers were marked. Suggestion to management - less posturing on your lobby and cars and spend some money refurbing your rooms.

Breakfast was pretty good in all fairness - varied selection of the usual choices and juices along with a station for eggs / omelettes etc.

Honestly wouldn't stay back here again unless necessary - it's not that bad, it's just that there are a lot better hotels in Delhi.

We stayed here in December 2012 at the start of our 3 week India trip. We were given a huge room, so not understanding the comments about tiny rooms. Meals quite expensive but grab a tuk tuk and head to Connaught Circus for plenty of choice. Wifi is chargeable which is a touch annoying, but signal was fine. Room clean and very comfortable beds.

We chose The Royal Plaza because it was our first few days in India and we wanted an easy and comfortable adjustment period with minimal immediate culture shock. For this the Royal Plaza is fine.

The rooms were comfortable and clean, although tiny. The wifi was expensive and not very fast. There were few places that you could walk to except for other very large expensive western style hotels. The breakfast buffet wasn't great. Paying twice what you would in the United States for a soda turned me off. I understand that there is a huge gap in price between western hotels and Indian hotels, but I didn't think it was worth it.

If you are there for business and your company is paying the 50 rupee per page they charge to print something out, the 12USD per day to use the marginal internet and covering your minibar it's perfect. If you are a tourist or with your family and want to get comfort there are better choices.

recently stayed in royal plaza during the christmas: one must say a beautiful property. Lobby gives a look of roman empire. Staff was polite. Buffet breakfast was widespread. Pool is beautiful in the evening.would certainly come back soon
