“Great location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 31, 2013

The hotel is located few steps from Select City walk shopping mall in Saket. The rooms (suits) are spacious and have built in microwave, fridge and utensils. The staff is quite friendly and helpful. The buffet breakfast which was included in the price offered a large selection of Indian, western dishes and to my surprise Miso soup.
The towels were pretty old .

There are large number of restaurants across the hotels

Room Tip: Request higher floors as it would provide quite sleeping.

Good service, good breakfast and close to shopping. Would totally go back!!
I enjoyed the shopping, connected right to the all. The fresh flowers in the lobby were beautiful.
We used the kitchen a few times and even the microwave. The cleaning staff worked hard and were friendly.

Stayed here for 3 days in Dec 2012, stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment with 2 Adults and 2 Children. This Hotel is well past its best days (especially for the price and it is definitely not worth the money), It has very dated décor which is old and kind of 80s, while it is clean enough the towels for example are absolutely thread bare and if you hold them up to the light you can see through them, The service is OK, pleasant without being friendly, the Buffet Breakfast (incl) is again OK, but every day I found the food to be barely warm rather than Hot and it is served in a basement area which is dark with no natural light.

The Hotel sits on top of large Mall, so handy to shopping and food options which is OK and if you go to the front of the mall and catch a Tuk Tuk you are about 5-8 mins away from the Metro

When we got there we went up to the pool which was green and had 15 pigeons floating about in (To be fair it was Winter and prb not used , but it was extremely shabby)

Even though we were on the 5th Floor (and on the entrance side ) the noise form the road from 10pm - 2pm was very very loud and the view was no existent , perhaps it would be better on the mall side of the hotel

The overall impression was a very tired Hotel well past its best days .....Overall I would not stay here again , there are many better cheaper options

The hotel location is very convenient for the Western traveler. All modern amenities, however the rooms are not clean. The bedding seems clean, the beds comfortable, but the towels are in bad need of replacement, they are all grey, and my hand towels are stained and I will not use them. The showers have mold and need a good bleaching. The floors appear to not have been scrubbed in quite some time, pergo type floors so should be easy enough to clean. For the price these issues should be fully addressed, it is not an inexpensive property. The televisions are nice, the furniture modern. The front desk staff is not as friendly as the rest of the staff - some smiles would be nice from them. The rest of the staff are cheerful and helpful. Very secure building, as a single traveler, I feel safe here, just kind of turned off b y the lack of cleanliness. I personally would likely not use this hotel for baby pick ups, but many do because of the convenience. If they would do deep cleaning after each guest and upgrade a few necessary items, I would be raving about the place.

Room Tip: Ask for a room at the back of the hotel overlooking the green space and common areas.

My boyfriend and I stayed at Svelte for 2 weeks in November 2012, and we absolutely loved it. The staff are so nice and friendly and we can't wait to go back to this hotel.

The room was so nice and the area is good. Because the hotel is placed over the select city walk mall and also a connected mall (DLF) makes your shopping easier. They have stores like Guess, Nike, M&S, Olivers, Zara, vero moda, J&J etc. And it's a lot of restaurants places there like the food court, Hard rock cafe, B Bar, TGI fridays, pizza hut, KFC etc. They also have 2 cinemas which is awsome. We saw a movie there and it's a new experience because of the service you get at Indian cinemas.

The pool at the roof top is so nice and they also had a little training studio that opened at 7 in the morning till 6 in the night and the people working there is so friendly.
The staff tend to your evey need and gave us a lot of tips of what to see and where to shop outside the area we were in. They also arrange trips to Taj Mahal and Delhi tours. We really enjoyed our stay, and as I said we are going back to this hotel next time we are in New Delhi, which we hope will be this year.
We recommend this hotel to all you people out there and just as a pluss, I can tell you that you do get a lot for your money at this hotel. Even the royal suite is beautiful, and the executive suite is good for 2 people.
The best thing about the hotel is that it's in an area that's locked in, and that makes it a bit safer, and you don't need to be scared of going out in the evening because that is normaly not recommended. It's a beautiful garden outside the hotel in the front and it's also easy to get a cab (tuck tuck) outside the hotel or the hotel area.
In the end this hotel is perfect for couples, family, friends, solo and business so they have it all.

Room Tip: The executive suite is good for 2 people or 3. They have a little kitchen/livingroom w/ Tv, cooking...

We were originally booked in here for two nights, but we extended for two more.
It is in a great location - with the huge shopping complexes all around.
Clean rooms, do try and get the ones overlooking the square - a great view !
Breakfast everyday was wonderful.
The staff - excellent !
Would definitely recommend it to everyone who can afford it.
And YES, I would go again !

Room Tip: We had a room overlooking the square ( and the huge flag ) Wonderful view !

Could use a bit of management attention - take a critical walk around the rooms etc !

Our second stay at this hotel – stayed 2 nights.

Since our last visit 2 years ago, it does seem to have deteriorated a little – I hasten to add, nothing major, but the suite was starting to look like it could do with a bit of a “going over” – paintwork needing a repaint in parts, scuff marks, minor cracked tiles in the bathroom, chrome on the taps wearing, towels were looking a bit grey, and the stocks of toiletries and in the mini bar were a bit lower than last time
.
As with other hotels on our recent trip to India, they also seem to believe that even for 2 people, one bar of soap, one shampoo etc is sufficient !

Signs of the times, I suppose.

Breakfast - acceptable, but not great. In room dining – good. Otherwise, still a reasonable choice for a decent clean hotel in Delhi.

Staff friendly and helpful, though check in and checkout were a little slow – only one person on the desk, and the arrival of a several people/families at once.

I would go back, but as I said, it’s gone down a little in the last 2 years.
And the authorities / Select Citywalk STILL hasn’t fixed the road outside !
