We stayed two nights at Singh Palace on our way back home and it was a pleasant experience bar some minor inconveniences. We were given a room on the third floor and I’d suggest you ask to stay from the second floor up as the morning noise and dog barking in the middle of the night can be a bit of a nuisance if you stay on lower floors. They provide a laundry service at reasonable price and got our items back clean and smelling good which is unusual. The breakfast room is on the basement, it’s a bit “cold” looking, neon lit and with no windows and at the back of the room there was no light and furniture was piled in a corner; toast and muffins as well as Indian breakfast is available. They gave us an electric heater which was extremely noisy and didn’t do so much as blowing a bit of warmish air, but when told they were quick with providing another one. The bathroom was large and water warn although a bit smelly, avoid to brush your teeth with it, buy some bottled water instead. The hotel is also very close to Karol Bagh metro station which gets you to Rajiv Chowk (Connaught Place) in 5 minutes and the Red Fort in less than ten. Channa market is at walking distance and from Karol Bagh station there are trains connecting you do DTS and Delhi’s places of interest.
The Singh Palace is in an area full of hotels so it’s quite safe to walk at night but after 9.30pm the streets tend to empty out and street lights s are switched off by 11pm.
