“Better look than taste”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 12, 2014

We came to that place in the afternoon for some lunch. While raining it was a good place for a break (under the roof). You dont really have a view while sitting because of a big wall.

The coffee was good, the Lassi and food "only" ok.

The sizzler is a good choice - came sizzling to the table and looked good. The size is big. The taste was ok but not that tasty.

Other places around have a better quality.

“Food was average but service was great”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 1, 2011

We had a lot of great food while in India but this place wasn't the best...what was great about this place was the service. We really enjoyed the staff and how helpful/accomadating they were. Also, the rooftop was a nice place to sit and enjoy the evening.

“Hidden on the rooftop away from the Main Bazaar madness”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 18, 2010

Family of five looking for somewhere to eat quickly. Picked this one out of the Lonely Planet. Easy to find in the centre of the main Bazaar.
Up on the rooftop, not the lush plants as described by Lonely planet, bit more of a concreted area with a few can tables and chairs and some large fans trying to cool us down.
We had 3 young kids who were starving, 2pm and hadnt eaten since breakfast. 2yr old had been screaming the house down.
Menu was quite extensive and a range from Indian, chinese, mexican and Italian. We were quick to order, 5 main meals, water and some shakes.
The 2yr old had her rice pudding come out in about 5 mins, boiling hot and took forever to cool down, but once it did she enjoyed it. Her mango juice was also out quickly, but then the food stopped.
We waited about 45mins for the rest of the food and drinks. I had to ask 3 times for the water. When the meals arrived they were good serves and tasty. I had the chicken fazitas (that's how they are spelt), tasty but not really mexican. Pizzas were great and the spaghetti carbonara very filling.
Not the safest or cleanest of places you will eat at, but must remember that there is some major demolition work going on in the streets below, so everything, everywhere is dirty and dusty. They gave my daughter a stuffed toy elephant from the diplay cabinet or Nepalese hand crafted things they have for sale which she loved.
Pretty good restaurant for the area they are in. 800 rupee for 5 of us, with drinks
