“A Comfortable Overnight Option”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 7, 2011

This is my only stay in a Delhi hotel so this review is based on my usual expectations of a travellers transit hotel. It is located in a chaotic street and appears to be under and over a flyover - it is in fact the metro, but don't let that put you off - the noise of the traffic makes the murmmurings of a metro car passing through your bedroom, almost comforting. However, once checked in, everything improves. The bedrooms ( we had 2 ), although noisy, were quite spacious, bathrooms fresh and linens, whilst a little limp, were clean.Several sites suggest black out blinds and bathrobes, these were not evident in our rooms, likewise the espresso machine. For a price, I think the helpful staff would have conjured anything. This brings me to the issue of tipping - we were 'in transit' from an uplifting trip to Bhutan, where staff often rejected tips, therefore the blatent refusal to budge until palms were greased was initially irritating - any requests are fullfilled in stages - the request for a pillow has to be made with a tip as does the arrival. Be warned, if in transit carry huge amounts of small change otherwise it will be very costly. I ran out of small denominations and ended up leaving US$.
The food is very fresh and plentiful although the grey/blue strip lit restaurant is a little bleak. This is a 'dry', unlicenced hotel, however we enjoyed a pre dinner 'duty free' on the roof - the spectacular 8th floor terrace being a real bonus in a 3* Hotel where space is at a premium.
A good basic option but excessive tipping could easily bring the cost into the 5* range.

Room Tip: Avoid rooms on the street side of the hotel.

Stayed here on two separate occasions during the first trip. The second room was much better than the first, largely because the room did not face the main street (this is Delhi, after all).

The hotel is not opulent by any means, but it was clean and comfortable. What really makes it worth returning to, however, is the staff. The porters and attendants were extremely accommodating, and Henna at the front desk went absolutely above and beyond on several occasions to make our stay enjoyable.

There are plenty of options in Delhi, but the people here make the difference.

The hotel is situated along a busy road in Karol Bagh. The horns of Indian traffic can keep you awake at night. Next to the hotel is the stop of the subway which makes it convenient to explore the city. The hotel is clean and the food is good. Staff is friendly and there is free wifi for one day as a complementary service. Overall a recommended place to stay in Delhi

I selected this hotel based upon other reviews and cannot understand how they could be so glowing. If it were sold as a 1-2 star place with good sized rooms and at a lower price I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it. However this was nearly twice what we paid for our first hotel in Delhi and certainly no better and is a couple of ways worse. Our first room had damp, unclean towels that appeared to have been used by the previous guest. The bed was so hard it was like sleeping on the floor and it was extremely noisy. My daughters room was better in everyway. After the first night they moved us to another room with a more comfortable bed, clean towels and quieter.

Beautiful hidden gem of a hotel. The spa in particular was AMAZING. My friends and I went for a massage at first, but it was so good we went back three more times. The staff were really friendly and helpful, perfect location, clean and comfy rooms... it was much better than anywhere else I'd stayed and I would totally recommend it to anyone unsure.
Located in New Delhi. Its really close to the shopping and the train station was a couple miles away. We took a couple day trips out and it was really easy getting around.
Nice and comfy rooms, they were absolutely spotless and the bed was so nice. Like waking up in a cloud.
Great price, much cheaper and more on offer than other hotels we stayed at.

All in all, I had a great time here and would completely recommend it to anyone else. Couldn’t ask for anything better – great location, nice comfy clean rooms, friendly staff, and the spa… mmm perfection!
