We never wanted to leave this place! Scott and his crew have done an amazing job with the gardens, the bungalows, the food, the customer service and the beach speaks for itself. Red Frog Beach is a white sand beach that streches for almost 1 mile. White sand, crystal clear water, beach chairs, and hammocks is the front yard. The bungalows are located a few steps from the beach and set into the jungle. We loved the setting because you would never even know they were there and we had the privacy we wanted..Just the jungle, beach and the other nice family that was staying there. They only have 2 bungalows and a tentalow which hold a maximum of 11 people. We had maximum attention at all times. This is what really impressed us. They are more concerned with quality than quantity. Lots of personal attention!
Scott and the crew also have 3 boats and the tours they offer are unique, affordable and not the normal tourist traps they offer in Bocas. They took us to amazing snorkel spots, we surfed great waves with nobody out all day and did some amazing hikes and kayaking from the resort. We were also surprised at the quality of the food. Everyday was different, plentiful, had local flair and healthy! One day we chartered the boat with Chato and Scott for a day of fishing. We caught our own Yellowfin Tuna and ate sashimi and seared Ahi for dinner...Simply an amazing trip with an amzing group of people. We left feeling like our family had grown and we will definatley be back next year!! Thank you Scott, Maiky, Chato, Niko and Mama for making our trip one we will never forget!

Thank you to the entire crew at Red Frog Bungalows. From the time we showed up at Red Frog Beach until the morning we left.. you all made this the most enjoyable vacation of our lives. What made this place so special for us was the location, the bungalows, the local staff, and their genuine concern that we enjoyed every minute of our vacation. When we showed up we immediately felt as if we were family.
The bungalows are precious! They are set in the jungle but literally a few seconds away from the beach. Scott and Niko have created the most amazing garden that is full of all different kinds of flowering plants, local vegetation and an assortment of tropical fruit trees. We even ate fresh pineapple that they grew next to our bungalow and dined on herds from the spice garden. Amazing!!!
Thanks you Mama, Scott and Maiky for the amazing food every night. The menu was different every night but if you like fresh seafood you will not be disappointed. They seem to cook anything but we went fishing with Scott and caught Dorado and Wahoo. We were set for the trip. I have never tried the same fish cooked so many different ways..All were amazing but you have to make Scott cook you his Baja style fish tacos. Delicious!!!
The reason we came to Red Frog Bungalows was for the activities. We snorkeled, fished, surfed, hiked and even tried Stand Up Paddle boarding. These guys have it dialed in..They know all the local weather, tides and chose the best times for all of our excursions. Some days we waited until the afternoon so we could snorkel by ourselves and not with all of the other tourists!! This made a huge difference in our trip.
Lastly and most importantly...thank you all for taking such good care of us!! We felt like family right away and the attention you paid to us and the rest of your guest was unforgettable. We have traveled to many parts of the world and this is what made the biggest impact on us..We will be back again and if you ever come to New york we would love to repay the favor!!!

Thank you Scott, Maiky, Chato, Mama and Tuluch for taking such great care of my family and giving us an amazing vacation. We are so happy we came across the article in Mens Journal about Red Frog Bungalows. They were the voted the #1 Adventure Eco-Resort and now we can see why!!
The bungalows are steps away from the beach and set into the jungle. They were clean, cool, very comfortable and perfect for our family of 5. We loved the fact that we were so close to the beach but set into a jungle atmosphere. The garden is amazing with an incredible amount of biodiversity. We had monkeys come down the our bungalow and it seemed like hundreds of different tropical birds constantly visiting us. Kuta the cat is adorable and even has his own custom hammock!
Scott and his staff took us snorkeling to Zapatilla (highly recommended), hiking to the most amazing beach ever (Polo) and my sons scored some world class surf. All of the guides at Red Frog Bungalows (Chato and Tuluch) are locals from Bastimentos Island and extremely friendly knowledgeable. We are not the kind of family that likes to sit around and do nothing but relaxing on Red Frog Beach in the lounge chairs and hammocks they provided was the perfect way to end all of our days!!
The food was excellant. Every afternoon and night Mama, Scott, and Maiky prepared something different and exciting. Most of the evenings we dined on fresh fish, shrimp and lobster. Thai night was our favorite. My kids are picky eaters but they loved every meal.
We were most impressed by the personal attention that every guest received. Scott built the resort and really cares that you have the best possible vacation. There was so much attention paid to my family and the other guests staying in the bungalows that we really felt like we were part of your family. I would recommend this resort to anyone that is outgoing, loves the beach and nature as well as personal attention..We hope to be back soon!!

If you are the kind of person who values an adventure over a vacation, this place is for you. By no means is this place a high-end resort with amenities. If you are high-maintenance and require white-glove attention, this place is probably not for you. It is a bit of an adventure to get to this place and find it. Nestled in the trees just off the beach, we would not have found it without the help of a very friendly local as we did not do the transfers. MAKE SURE YOU DO THE TRANSFER WITH SCOTT.

What makes this place unique and truly special is the owner Scott and his crew. He has this place wired and has integrated himself perfectly into the area which is impressive for a gringo. He has the fishing, snorkeling and surfing spots wired. He will either personally take you or make the arrangements to make sure whatever you want to do happens.

The place itself is very secluded outside the party city of Bocas Town. We only got one day of decent surf in (which was a bummer) but we had a great time going out at night, fishing, snorkeling and diving. The food was awesome. Lots of fresh fish and fruits and Scott and Mama knows how to cook it. This is the kind of place where you watch the surf report and fly down last minute to see if you can grab a spot during the high season. During the off season, availability seems to be easier to come down and you will get more personal attention.
