My wife and I stayed at La Coralina for a week in January. The location is amazing, perched up on a cliff overlooking a beautiful beach. I brought my surfboard and found several good breaks nearby. Stacy is a terrific host and does her best to make sure her guests have a great experience. The food was amazing and the outdoor restaurant bar was great to come home to each night. Our room was very nice (the Garden Suite) but we spent most of the time exploring the natural wonders outdoors. The road from town is quite bumpy but the hotel staff will transport you and are all quite expert and maneuvering through the mud. We will be back.

my girlfriend and I spent two lovely nights there. the rooms are perfect, service is exceptional, and the setting is beautiful. stacey, the chief architect and owner, looks spares no detail and is also a fantastic cook, and the food is very reasonably priced. we spent endless hours lounging around on the hotel grounds, drinking in the bar looking at the view, and took a few nice walks into the adjacent jungle and along the water as well. this is definitely a great deal for the level of luxury.

We absolutely loved La Coralina. We stayed in the Garden Suite, so we had AC (not sure if the regular rooms do), but the room is decorated very nicely and offers lots of privacy as it sits away from the main building. The staff is wonderful...they were incredibly helpful in telling us which beaches to hit up and packing up lunches for our excursions. We ate at the hotel almost every day and loved everything (including the tasty drinks). We adored the dogs, especially Sugar, who was the best companion to have when we biked down the road to Playa Bluff. The location on a hilltop overlooking the ocean is gorgeous, and part of the reason it's so nice is because it's about 10-20 min via car from town. The car ride is VERY bumpy and we heard stories about the road occasionally being impassible, so if you plan on leaving the premises frequently, keep this in mind.

All in all, it takes a bit of effort to get there, but La Coralina is pure paradise for those who enjoy good food, good people, and the outdoors.

My wife, children and myself found La Coralina to be a wonderful experience. Although off the beaten path, the hotel is located on a bluff overlooking the ocean w/ incredible vistas and 3D surround sound of the waves crashing. The food is great, service was good for Bocas standards and the host excellent (Stacy).
Unfortunately, other reviews have tried to taint the hotel by saying its not luxury, well duh, look around ... nothing is luxury in Bocas. If you're looking for luxury go to Cancun. The hotel, provides a unique experience to rural scenic panama where you can immerse yourself in island life and its unique cross culture of many different types of persons. Very Cool Place!

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 3 nights during a 2-week backpacking trip through Central America -- our nights at La Coralina were our splurge, and it was absolutely worth it. The view from our ocean suite bungalow was gorgeous; the beach directly below the hotel was intimate; Stacy and her staff were friendly, fun, and took great care of us, packing coolers for trips down the road to the other beach, setting up a day trip for snorkeling. And the two dogs will follow you everywhere (this is a good thing, they're very sweet). If you're into all-inclusive hotels or want sleek luxury or a resort atmosphere, this is not a good choice -- but if you want something secluded, intimate, and special, this is it. We never even ventured back to Bocas Town after we got there. It's Central America, so you've got certain things to contend with (generator downtime in the afternoon, etc), but it's an boutique-y boho gem hidden away in the jungle. Honestly, I'd rent out the whole place and get married there if I could.
