“Best Place to Stay!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 11, 2012

These people are great! We planned to stay about a week but stayed 11 days. Jana, Bryan and Eric were all extreemly helpful and informative. The tours and people they suggested to us were always top notch and that made this the best vacation trip ever! The breakfast is always good, (if you're lucky try the Mango stuffed French Toast... Wonderfull!). The rooms are clean, the staff are friendly and we felt very safe and secure. We have been looking for a place to retire to and wanted to meet others who had moved and lived there. They helped us visit local places and people and to get a feel for the way living there would be. We now understand much more and had such a great time, we are already planning a return trip. You know where we will be staying whenever we get back to Bocas!

Just spent a week at Lulas B&B in Bocas del Toro it was a great place, at the edge of town, quiet but less then a 5 minute walk to the center of downtown. Included a good breakfest with all you can drink coffee which is unusual in Panama. The owners and staff were super nice as well as the other guest, everyone was friendly and helpful. Was nice spending a couple hours inbetween the beach and the night life on the second floor balcony in one of the hammocks with the fresh breeze watching hummingbirds constantly coming in and out of the feeders. Even had time to play a bit of dominoes.

Room Tip: all rooms are good we stayed in a front room towards the ocean

There are good restaurants pretty close to the hotel. The place where you can rent bikes to go explore the island is almost right accross from the hotel. The breakfast is good and the owners are friendly and willing to help.
Also, the hotel has beer for only $1, can you believe it? They have a nice place on the second floor to relax and enjoy your beer after you've had a busy day exploring the sorroundings.
The only bad thing is that the AC is super loud! However, the rooms are clean and very nice.

Jana and Bryan made this trip a delight. The location is ideal, the setting is cozy and private, and all of the staff are extremely friendly. Jana and Bryan went well out of their way to plan us a trip to see the leatherback turtles on short notice on our last night. Highly recommended, thank you!

On Bocas we've chosen Lula's for our stay. A beautiful wooden B&B. The breakfast is good and tasteful. De room was clean, cool and nice.
The American owners gave us a friendly welcome.
We wood stay here again if we go back to Bocas del Toro.

There's lots to do in the Bocas area, so if you need a comfortable place to use as a base, Lula's could be just what you're looking for. It's within easy walking distance of the main part of town, but you're away from the noise and hubbub of there. The friendly hosts, Bryan and Jana, can help you make arrangements for surfing, diving or almost any other activities you'd like. We went on the Botanical Garden tour, just a mile or so away, and it was well worth it. They helped us get a water taxi to Hospital Point for snorkeling among some beautiful coral (even with a couple of Lion fish.) We also took a chocolate tour on the mainland just a short boat ride away. The breakfast is great featuring home made jams by Jana. Excellent stay.

Room Tip: Any one of the six rooms are great.

Clean rooms, beautiful porch for those rainy nights, amazing breakfasts, awesome owners, will make you feel at home. 5 minute walk from airport, 5 minute walk from town, A/C, fans, hot water, everything was great
