“Wonderful stay in a wonderful town”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 6, 2013

My husband and I spent 4 nights here in Sept. in a room overlooking the water. Location is excellent - just a short walk to everything. Room was immaculate with everything we needed. Great AC. Staff is very friendly and helpful especially the very friendly Johayvi! I would definitely stay here again. Bocas is a wonderful place to explore.

I stayed here 2 night on my first trip to Bocas. The hotel is in a great location and the rooms are simple, but very clean and well-maintained. What really struck me was the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff: from beginning to end they offered great service, with big smiles. I will stay at Hotel Bocas del Toro again!

We stayed at this hotel for two nights as part of a honeymoon trip. It is walking distance from both ferry terminals, and is located in a safe area of Bocas. The room was on the smallish size, but was good taking in consideration it's a 11-room building. The room had a/c and had a nautical flair, to complement the hotel's theme. The beds were on the firm side, but we were able to enjoy a good night's sleep. We used the bar twice for happy hour, when everything is heavily discounted. The bar staff was friendly. The breakfast is not served on permise, but at Lili's just two houses down. It was also very good. We got to meet the owner on the last night, she is a very nice lady! We will book in this hotel again for our first anniversary. Bocas is AWESOME!

Room Tip: Book a balcony suite with ocean view if you can afford it. Be very careful of ferry terminal porter...

Unfortunately we only stayed 2 nights in Hotel Bocas. It is centrally located for walking to most everything. The room was great and got plenty cool with the AC, which was a welcome relief. The staff is helpful and friendly.

Room Tip: Although we had a room overlooking the front street, which was fine, the rooms overlooking the water...

We stayed 3 nights in Bocas town and couldn't have stayed at a better hotel. The location is very central. We looked at the other hotels we were thinking of staying at, and by far, this one was the best. The detail and upkeep on the gorgeous wood throughout the hotel is impressive. We tried to save a little money and stayed in the Junior Suite with Town View. I think that may have been better than Sea view. We had a lot of entertaining people to watch from our balcony. The food in the restaurant was really good, as was the view. The staff was very helpful and assisted us in navigating some tour issues when I got sick and needed to cancel. Loved this place!

Room Tip: We enjoyed the Junior Suite with a Town View. Lots to watch at night when it gets dark, and you can...

Probably one of the best places we stayed in our journey accross Panama. Rooms facing the sea are a bit more expensive but I guess was worth it. Very clean, air conditioning and very comfortable beds.
Probably the only thing this hotel should pay more attention is with those "tourist guides" that attract visitors at their premises. One of them ripped us off...
Hearthy breakfast of your choice included. Thums up!

My husband and I stayed here and got a last minute price and was very pleased. Room was on 3rd floor and view was to town which we loved very much. Sun was very hot on water side. Staff are absolutely lovely. Carnival was going on for 3 days of our stay. Very cute. Flying pirates quad rentals are a most. Island was very fun to ride around and see. Starfish beach is a must spend the better part of a day. Take water taxi to Bastimentos really cute and a fun little restaurant for beers and burgers. Take the water taxi's to Isla carenaro too and have lunch at pickled parrot and at lulus also. This area will not be a secret hang out long. It has so much to do and you will not be disappointed with this hotel. Carolyn does the best job along with her staff. This is to me the best place to stay. A tip do not get drunk and eat burger off stand at 2:00 am no matter how hungry or good they smell. I was ill for days and had to antibiotic. Remember this was still our best in the 6 week vacation in central amercia.

Room Tip: there are all types of rooms here to select from. Find whats in you're budget or you can splurge...
