“Great spot for dinner and drinks under the stars.....”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 13, 2012

Hotel Bocas del Toro is one of the nicer places in Bocas for drinks, either on the street for people watching or in the back over the water and under the stars for a true Bocas experience. The food is consistantly very good. The whole fried snapper is amazing as are the grilled steaks and are under 15 dollars so very reasonable. The bohio over the water makes for a nice separate place for a small group of friends to gather and enjoy all Bocas has to offer. The staff and owner strive to make your experience the best it can be. One of Bocas' true treasures!

It is nice marine style hotel, with spacious and cosy rooms. The staff is helpful and polite. The only thing that should be improved is breakfast. There are just few options to choose. No fruits, no vegetables. In such hotel, it should be definitely better.

Hotel Bocas del Toro is pleased to know our guests’ stay was cozy, friendly and enjoyable. We are grateful for their review. Our Boutique Hotel appreciates feedback as it always assists us in becoming better at what we do and the way we communicate with our guests.

Bocas del Toro Restaurant & Bar offers a bilingual menu with over 7 selections for breakfast with various options to complement each selection. For breakfast, a seasonal fruit platter is offered (Healthy and Fresh/Sano & Natural). A wide array of fresh fruit for fresh juices or smoothies is always available. Bocas del Toro Restaurant also offers omelets with vegetables. Special requests are accepted to support guests’ dietary requirements, whether it is egg whites for breakfast or a vegetarian dinner!

Bocas del Toro Restaurant is ready to serve guests and it is not clear the reason the guest did not inquire, or make a special request if necessary. Bocas del Toro Restaurant & Bar is always ready to serve customers and guests at Hotel Bocas del Toro! We look forward to your visit over the ocean in Bocas del Toro!

We stayed at this lovely hotel for 6 nights. Our room looked over the water. It was a bit noisy at night but I am told in high season much louder. Food was good but the restaurant next door was amazing! (It is to the left when facing the water) The room were cleaned really good everyday no complaints and everyone who works there is really friendly and helpful.

Bocas Town has experienced alot of growth over the last several years - but the Hotel Bocas del Toro remains our favorite hotel for location, food, beauty. The rooms are impeccable - decorated in caribbean style they are clean and comfortable and enjoyable. We stayed in the honeymoon suite on the top floor and Loved it! Loved the balony and watching the sunset from the room. The service of course is first rate and the owner hires only locals - her committment to ecotourism and the community is sincere. Carla, the owner, also works tirelessly at the elderly home being sure they are loved and cared for.

Each time my husband and I visit Bocas Town we choose this hotel. The first time we went to Bocas, I studied the travel guides to make sure I would choose the kind of hotel that would fit the budget we had and have all of the amenities that we enjoy when we travel. Hotel Bocas del Toro fit our needs perfectly. It is right on Main street and also on the water. Our stay was just lovely. The entire hotel is so cute and the rooms are very clean and comfortable. Breakfast is included and this is a full american breakfast that you eat in their restaurant which is really a huge dock! Just so nice to be sitting outside over the water in the sunshine sipping coffee and eating a great meal. Each visit we have always been pleased and we will keep choosing this hotel because we have never been disappointed.

Room Tip: Views on the water side are do die for.

My husband and I enjoyed 4 nights at this wonderful boutique hotel, located in the heart of Bocas Town. We spent 2 nights in a premium room with a town-view balcony and 2 nights in a premium room with an ocean-view balcony. Both rooms were extremely clean and comfortable. We greatly enjoyed relaxing on the balconies after day trips to the surrounding beaches – we preferred the beautiful views of the ocean, but also enjoyed the people watching on our two nights in the town-balcony. Accordingly, we would definitely recommend getting a room with a balcony, even though they are a bit pricier. However, generally speaking, there are lots of hotels on the water, so there are likely better values-for-money in Bocas Town. We had a great experience though at Hotel Bocas, so the rooms were well worth the price.

The staff was a huge help in organizing tours and giving us information about how to get back and forth from different areas in the archipelago. Our favorite spot was Boca del Drago, where the beach is not crowded, the water is a beautiful color, and you can spot lots of starfish. Prospective travelers should know that there is no beach in Bocas Town itself, but taking day trips is easy to organize and inexpensive (most sites are about 15-45 minutes away). We thought that this was the best of both worlds because the town was a fun place to wander around, but the distance between the town and the sites made the beaches less crowded and more fun to explore. At many times we felt like we had an entire jungle beach to ourselves. The bartender at the hotel was also quite friendly and we enjoyed talking to him and learning about the island. We would definitely recommend staying at this hotel and hope to come back soon.

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Bocas del Toro. The staff was extremely helpful in every way. They went above and beyond our expectations of what it would be usual service. Do not go anywhere else but Hotel Bocas del Toro. The owner and her staff are the best in town.

:-)

Room Tip: Get the rooms with ocean view!
