This place has only one thing going for it--the price. There was nothing charming about it. It was seedy, dirty and the furnishings were decrepit. The walls were very thin and you could hear the inhabitants of other rooms. The shower was grungy. The linens and towels were threadbare and worn. Spend a little more money and find something nicer. I'm so sorry we didn't.

“The best of the best”

Cocomo on the Sea

Cocomos was by far the best place to stay in bocas town. Cocomo is a 4 minute walk from the tiny airport and a 5 minute walk to the very small town. We stayed at the number one rated hotel in town for 2 nights called hotel bocas del toro, hotel bocas del toro does not come close to compare, they do not even furnish a coffee pot or a cup of coffee. Cocomos 4 rm hotel and staff were wonderful with all of the imformation you would ever need. The trips you take by water like drago beach and frog beach pick you up by water right on cocomo by the sea back deck. The included breakfast is the best I have ever had and as much as you want. The back deck is the perfect place for having breakfast in the morning or a beer in the evening. The view is wonderful. Good thing this place is listed under bed and breakfast and not under hotel otherwise you would never be able to get a room. Be sure to book in advance as this place stays full. The owner and staff are the friendliest and nicest people you would ever want to meet while vacationing. As said in the beginning......The best of the best!!

“Relaxation on the Sea”

Cocomo on the Sea

I loved my stay here and agree with other rave reviews. The whole atmosphere is relaxing and cozy. Each of the 4 rooms has one double bed and a single, both comfy, A/C, fans, private bathroom and NO television. Local art and crafts throughout add the feelng of home away from home. The deck, overlooking the water, has plenty of chairs and a few hammocks. Walking out every morning to the breafast spread and then finding out you can order a hot dish was a luxury for me and a great way to meet other guests. The honor system fridge, stocked with water, sodas and beer, really came in handy. Large selection of books to trade and info on the area.

The staff are friendly, keep rooms clean, serve breakfast and offer laundry service. These ladies deserve a tip daily or at the end of stay.

Highly recommended if you want a quiet place, off the beaten path.

We stayed at Cocomo on The Sea in Feb. of 2005. The weather was wonderful and the company at this hotel was pleasent. We were one of three couples on the site. Two couples were from Canada, one of the couples had repeatedly visited this hotel.

Our daily breakfast was extensive, meaning there were several items to choose from. The food was delicious, mainly the fresh fruit.

The only draw back was the setup of the rooms. There was not as much privicy as we would have liked.

I would return to this place in a heartbeat!

We loved everything about this place. Bocas town was very interesting with some great great food, but when you come back to Cocomo, you feel like you're in a world all your own. We had two of the four rooms and the other two rooms were occupied by two friends. What a cohesive group! Would definitly stay here when back in Bocas Town.
