We spent two nights at Cocomo on the Sea during Easter week and loved it. We'd tried to get a reservation for three nights but it was only available for two, and I'm so glad we spent two nights here instead of three somewhere else - it was great.
Doug, the owner, sets a very comfortable and laid-back tone and his staff are all great. He can arrange day trips with reputable boatmen and give you tips about things to do in Bocas.
Our room was cheery and the bed was comfortable. There is AC and a ceiling fan and the bathroom was functional and clean (and always well-stocked with towels, which we appreciated). The real selling point of this place, though, is the public areas. Breakfast is served at a big table on the deck and includes fresh fruit, cereal, and coffee (which we were told was grown on Doug's coffee plantation near Boquete!), and you can order things like omelettes and pancakes.
There is a fridge in the hallway stocked with water, pop, and beer, all on the honor system.
We met all of the other guests as people started to gather on the deck with a beer at sunset. It was a great way to get tips on the area and one of the best parts of our stay.
If I went back to Bocas I wouldn't stay anywhere else - this place is great.
