Description: The Lemongrass - Asian Fusion restaurant on the Isla Colon, Bocas del Toro waterfront. We use mostly local seafood, allowing our menu to change daily according to availability. We have the best views in town, great drinks, and a unique mix of Panamanian, Asian, and Mediterranean cuisine.

“Best place to eat in Bocas”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 5, 2012

I absolutely loved the quality of the food and for what you pay it is definitely a bargain. We went there twice. Service can be a bit slow but that is the same in every single other restaurant in Bocas. Just part of the Caribbean vibe. Highly recommended!

“Great location, low on content!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed December 31, 2011 via mobile

About the only Thai place but clearly trying to mimic Thai cooking. It's hard to do so with native ingredients. Eg spring rolls were called Spring Enchiladas which were thin wheat noodles wrapped in wonton and deep fried! Nothing fresh in them whatsoever. The green or the red coconut curry was yucky flowy coconut milk with very mild dash of generic Thai paste--hardly worth $9.

“worse than terrible”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed December 25, 2011

This was the slow season, the restaurant was not full. The server was one of the worst servers I have ever encountered, it was like she walked in off the street by mistake. The food was ordered and nothing arrived, after about 45 minutes another man came over and acted surprised we hadn't gotten our food, although he didn't seem to be aware of our order. He told us to order the whole fish, it would be more than enough for two people, when it arrived it was, very small, almost no meat on the fish, just head and bones...I can't begin to imagine what these people were thinking, or why they bothered to be in the restaurant busines...just an extremely horrible experience, when there are so many good restaurants, in close proximity, to have to waste an evening in a dump and never even get to eat!

“Pricey for the portions”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 23, 2011

While the ambiance is cool, the food could be better. We give it a three because of the mediocre service and food. Stick to drinks and desserts if you go.

“Very disappointing.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed November 30, 2011

Although this restaurant came highly recommended by our hosts I walked away disappointed. However, my Girlfriend disagrees. I had the Pad Thai which was devoid of any spice whatsoever. Another couple we were dining with were also split 50/50 on their meals. Their menu was also limited due to certain ingredients, and beverages (bottled water) being unavailable during our visit. Could have been a bad night but with so many other incredible places to eat I wouldn't go back.
