We walked here from Playa Bluff, which is quite a ways. I don't recommend it in extreme heat or with small children, which is what we did. We had no idea that it would be that far.
The reason I'm giving them 4 stars is because I feel that service goes a long way these days and if you've been visiting Panama, you know by now that good service is hard to come by. The guy at the Play Bluff Beach Restaurant was super friendly towards us and our kids. We noticed him playing with the other children as well.
Also, they have a pool! And though they usually charge $3 a person to get in, our waiter let us get in for free! My kids were so excited as there aren't very many pools here either. We spent the rest of the afternoon chilling out there, which made the walk and the food worth it.
When we got there, we were ravenous, but realized we were low on cash, which is all they take. No credit cards like many places on the island,
We shared 2 orders of fish and chips with our 2 kids. Hoping that those two things would be filling, we were disappointed in the quality and portion sizes of the fish. Each plate came with 2 tiny pieces of fish that were made to look larger (not large) with deep fried breading. It came with a good portion of fries and a small salad, but that was not enough to fill us up. So we each got one tiny piece of fish, a few fries and a couple of bites of salad.
We had a little cash leftover, so we ordered the banana fritter, hoping that would top us off. Nope! It was basically the fish story again, but with a deep-fried banana and a TINY scoop of vanilla ice cream. OK - so we're going to need a big dinner tonight...
