“Very good”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 26, 2013

We enjoyed a couple of hours at the Shueili Snake Kiln. The museum was interesting to look through and you are able to make your own pottery if you have time. They also have a cafe so you can stop for a drink and food.

“Shuei-Li Snake kiln ceramic Cultural Park,Natou”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 4, 2012

This tourist attraction is in the little sleepy town of ShuiLi. we took the 8.30am train from Taipei to reach chung Hwa station ( one stop after Taichung station) at 10.50am. We connect on the Ji Ji line at 11.20am reaching Shueli at 12.50noon. You can get a cab or the local bus going to puli to Shuei-Li
We found this kiln very educational and very artisitc. There is a museum, classrooms of making pottery, a memorail hall commemorating the 921 Earthquake.Ceramic artwork beautifully decorated this quaint little set-up. we found the snake kiln most interesting. Pottery lovers and children will find this place worth visiting. It was one of the highlights of our 12 days to Taiwan Free and easy covering Taipei,Shueli,Cingjing and kaoshiung.

From Shueli, we took the local bus to puili and connected another Nantou Bus to Cingjing which was like entering paradise
