“Delicious”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 10, 2013

We had 2 egg kothu roti and we loved it. The owner cooked them in front of us. They were very tasty, and very, very filling. It is definitely worth a try, if you are in the area. It gives you a real experience of simple Sri Lankan cuisine. Note: we could not find it initially, it is across the road from the elephant riding place; we stopped at a place called "New Sigiriya Cafe" to ask for direction for Chooti, and the lady there was trying to convince us that her restaurant was Chooti and gave us a table very quickly. Do not be fooled!

“Our first Kothu Roti”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 23, 2013

We had our first Kothu Roti here and loved it. This is a great little place and we enjoyed both our meal and watching them cook it. I am sure other things on the menu are equally good. We also had excellent juice.

“Amazing value and delicious!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 18, 2013 via mobile

We went back to Chuti three times in our two day stay in Sigiriya. It's that good!

We had tomato, cheese & onion roti which is SO yum. And she makes it fresh right in front of you.
We also had curry (3 kinds) with Roti which was some of the best we've had in Sri Lanka. It's all at a bargain price for around R150 per person.

The banana chocolate roti is also delicious and the staff are super friendly.

This place is an absolute must visit.

“Don't miss this authentic dining experience!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 19, 2012

Short walk from the two main "tourist" hotels, but well-worth the trip for the kothu roti and banana roti. Family-run restaurant. If you want, she might even let you try making kothu roti yourself! The fresh squeezed pineapple juice was excellent!
