Does anyone have an e-mail of this hotel? I have been searching on line for quite some time, but I cannot seem to find an accurate e-mail address. All help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

this was an amazing find, thanks to trip advisor reviews before we went.
we had a warm welcome with home made cakes and tea, including our driver.
the room was clean and no insects.
The breakfast was excellent, plentiful, and well presented. Short tuk tuk ride to centre of kandy.
Very good value and worth staying here.

The Clove Garden features five clean, airy rooms in a pleasant garden setting. We were welcomed with cake and coffee and felt well taken care of throughout our two night stay.

Clove Garden's minimalist furnishings look very nice but a few clothes hooks and an armoire in our room would have been welcome. The mattresses are a bit thin and soft. The hot water in our bath was very hot but only a trickle. The weak wi-fi signal could only be accessed successfully in the living room. We noted a few mozzies, though owners say they're never troublesome enough to warrant screens or a net.

Adjacent to Clove Garden is Sweet Cinnamon, a somewhat more upscale sister establishment, also with five rooms.

Food service is excellent. Breakfasts (included) are substantial, and graced with fresh fruit. We also enjoyed the US$7 chicken curry & rice dinner, with several veggie sides. Note: curry dinner must be ordered in advance.

The way into Clove Garden is not well marked. Note the phone number and have taxi driver telephone before he gets lost.

Owner Prayan, Manager Derek and staff are friendly and helpful, e.g., in arranging transportation into town (10-15 minutes, Rs 300 by tuk tuk) or onward to the next destination. Our room was US$37/nite booked thru Air BnB.

We stayed in Clove Garden, Kandy for three nights in November 2013. We had reserved a double room in Clove Garden through booking.com. The resort is relatively easy to locate by tuk tuk since most tuk tuk drivers had heard of it, but if you plan to walk up from downtown Kandy (a good long walk), it can get pretty confusing. Also since most locals do not speak english, it could be hard to ask for directions. But to look on the brighter side, the resort is located far away from the hustle and bustle of Kandy city and is quiet and peaceful with a lovely garden. The accommodation is homely and neat, although the room allotted to us was quite small (only one table to put our things on) and with a (very) creaky bed. The property has free wi-fi connectivity too. The housekeepers are helpful and the cook makes scrumptious food. We had the complimentary continental breakfast on all three days and dinner on one day (costs USD 7 but is worth it). Priyan Herath, the owner, is a gregarious man and gave us useful tips on sightseeing. He also showed us around his other property Sweet Cinnamon, which was grander and more expensive than Clove Garden. Kody, the tourist guide/driver is also friendly and took us on a tea estate tour and to some ancient temples. Overall, we had a great time visiting Kandy city and its many tourist attractions (including a visit to Nuwara Eliya).

Room Tip: Ask for more side tables and look out for creaky beds

We stayed 6 nights at Clove Garden having had a pickup from airport by their driver Kody. The location is very quiet set in a lush garden, and is a 300rps tuk-tuk ride to Kandy or the Botanical Gardens. On arrival guests get some nice carrot cake and tea which was much appreciated after a long journey - other guesthouses we stayed at did not offer this. The garden is nice but there is nowhere to sit in it - a bench would be good (there are however a couple of sofas positioned by the driveway). The rooms are ok and basic, the mattresses could have been thicker to give more comfort. Hot water worked. Wifi was rather slow and sometimes did not work, and is only available in the communal areas. Breakfast and the evening meals were good. Occasionally the cook was not available and there are not any other choices for eating nearby. Don't even think about walking to Kandy from here ! The owner Priyan lives onsite and is helpful in assisting planning excursions, and the staff are also pleasant and helpful. Their usual driver Kody is good and reliable. We spent rather too long at Kandy - would recommend just a couple of days. To summarise this is quite a good reasonbly priced option if one does not wish to stay right in Kandy.

The hotel is not so easy to find and not in a central location. But once you have arrived you will love the beautiful garden and the very friendly stuff. They really do all what they can the the guests have a good time. Breakfest and lunch are excellent. The price was very low for Kandy. Rooms are small for Europeans, nothing in the room to store something, just hot or cold water, dangerous electric. Perhaps they should give visitors a feedback paper because I am convinced that the stuff really wants to make all fine.

We stayed in this hotel when we first arrived to Sri Lanka and absolutely loved everything about the place. The only con is that it is a bit of a walk from down town Kandy. But that is the case for almost all guesthouses in Kandy. However a tuk tuk to the lake will only set you back about 2 dollars so it is not reply a problem. The staff was wonderful and tried to help us in all possible ways. The breakfast was a fried egg with lots of pepper, Belgian waffles or French toast and fresh fruit. Lovely. Eat dinner at the guesthouse twice and loved the curries they serve here. Fresh, homemade and scrumptious. Would I stay here again. Certainly! And I recommend that you do the same. Nice and clean and with hot water in the shower. The WiFi is a bit slow but the staff makes it worth every dollar you spend here.
