All I can add to other reviews is to ask for an upstairs room otherwise your room opens out onto the breakfast area and you may want to sleep in. It's a lovely setting, the food is good but ask for extra spice, they do good washing and "Dad" is a mine of useful information.
And how was the "Fitness Centre" they ask? That will be the very pleasant 10-minute walk into and back from Kandy. :-)

Room Tip: Book upstairs.

This guest house was very clean and comfortable. The owners were very helpful and kind. Make sure to pay Rps250 only for a tuk-tuk ride from town. Divine dinners, one meal here is a must! We were sad we couldn't spend more time here.

This was our first guest house stay - and the Owners made it worthwhile - from the great home cooking (breakfast and dinner, with explanations about the food), helpful information about local sites but also deciding about next possible destinations, to its location: outside the hustle and bustle but within easy walking distance down to centre, and cheap 150 tuk tuk ride back up the hill. The place itself was surrounded by greenery, giant bamboo like in the Botanical Gardens! We even spent a relaxed afternoon doing our homework about our next moves in-between watching the monkeys frolicking in the trees from the terrace. The room was very clean and its size was not an issue as the common areas were so pleasant. Exceptional food...

We went straight to kandy from the airport in Colombo as we heard there's not much to hang around Colombo for. We got a taxi from the taxi desk. Took about three hours and cost about £50. The owners at st Bridget's were very helpful with local knowledge and travel. the rooms were fine for a budget guest house. the food was very nice. Would recommend this as a first stop. Xxx

We stayed at St Bridget's Guest House for three nights and loved it. The views are amazing. We enjoyed reading books and relaxing on the terrace. The rooms were spotless but small. The owner is the most amazing cook. We looked forward to each night as to what would be served. Definitely the best home cooking we had in Sri Lanka. I enjoyed being a little out of Kandy as it is noisy. However it was only a 10 minute walk into the main area. I would recommend this guest house and until my return will dream of the chicken curry.

The place is located in the middle of the jungle, where you are surrounded by fabulous flora and fauna (bugs as well). Very clean and neat, the owner also delivers amazing dinners. You are very close to the city, but far enough to escape the madness od Kandy.

They provide loundry service as well.

We stayed for 2 nights in December 2013. The owners are very friendly and keen to offer tips and advice for visiting different spots in and around Kandy. We also enjoyed the freshly prepared breakfasts and dinners. Our room was very basic and the shower was only lukewarm at best. The location is fine - a little out of the way, but only a quick tuk tuk ride away from the centre of Kandy.
