After the hustle and bustle of a day in Kandy or a day visiting the Elephant Orphange, it's a great place to stay and relax. It is about a 25-30 drive from Kandy so it is a bit off the beaten path. Overlooking a paddy field and true nature, we found it a great place to just walk, talk and unwind. The old mansion offers plenty of space inside and outside. The friendly staff stayed out of the way but were helpful when needed. It's real value for money.

He was a chieftain in Kandy who was believed to have lived a lavish lifestyle during the early 20th century. The designer of this architectural masterpiece is fully European and the architect still remains a mystery.
