“don't miss it”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 21, 2014

Wow! now that's what I call cuisine! if part of your tourism is to try really good food, you should definitely come here. I wouldnt stay in this place because of its remote area but I would eat anytime I get the chance to!

“The best food in Sri Lanka!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 11, 2014

Just go there! You have a great choice of food as this place has a nightly buffet. The menu changes daily, so you could go every night and not have the same food twice!

“Very average - nothing exciting at all!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 29, 2014

We didn't stay at Sharon Inn but having heard about the buffet we booked a table for Christmas evening for what we thought would be something slightly special.
Upon arrival our names were not on the reservation list, after some rather awkward 'to-ing and fro'ing', and a failed attempt to seat us with a couple who were very clearly having a romantic evening and did not want co-diners, a table was fortunately found and we were seated inside.
The buffet is old-school, queue'ing for food is the order of the day ... the dishes are re-filled often, so there nothing inherently wrong with the system.
We were however disappointed with the food in that all dishes were slightly bland. We understand that not everyone likes spicy fare, and that they are catering for a mass market, but
the food really was very unexciting and nothing to write home about.
The dinner is/was not cheap and we walked away very disappointed and wondering what all the fuss was about.

“Amazing buffet, 90% veggie ”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 26, 2014

We were staying at the Hotel Suisse, but decided, due to trip advisor reviews to eat here instead. The buffet comprises three courses - soup, about 10 veggie dishes plus one meat, plus rice, breads etc.. Followed up by a sweet. 1100 per person - amazing value. The flavours in the curries were awesome...
