“Very Good Small hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 22, 2012

I have stayed at this hotel on numerous occasions on business. It is a small friendly hotel with very accommodating staff who have a good command of English and other European languages. The rooms are well equipped, comfortable and all have personal accessories such as dressing gowns, slippers and good bathroom items. There is a small but good swimming pool, sauna and steam room.

Room Tip: a room on the first level is good for access to the swimming pool/sauna etc as there is not far to t...

Stayed there for two night this week. Nice quiet hotel. Very clean. Usually stay at the Prahova Plaza which is bigger but fancied a change. The pool and sauna are nice. No issues and paid 190 euro for two nights

I stayed here for four nights on a business trip and the rooms are very clean and the furnishings are ok but my main complaint is the sewer smell in the bathroom. The bathroom was large & spacious but the smell from the drains was very strong. I have stayed here in the past & do not recall this so its possible it was just my room. Because I have stayed at others in the area & this is by far the best I would try again & ask for a different room. Overall great service & rooms just be aware of smelly bathroom.

My family and I spent two weeks at Vigo Hotel. It was truly a great experience. The room (105) was quiet, nicely decorated, very clean and had all the things expected of a four star hotel. The bed was very comfortable. The staff and the two owners exceeded our expectations in how helpful and professional they were. The breakfast was excellent and offered great Romanian cuisine. We had the chance to dine few times at the Vigo Grand Hotel Terrace across the street and were impressed with the quality and the variety of the food and wine offered. Kudos to Vigo Hotel and its staff.

Lovely Hotel situated in the centre of Ploiesti with good road links to the commercial estates on the outskirts of the town. My room (206) was equipped with Sat Tv, a double bed equipped with a massage function and last, but definitely not least a hazzle-free fast Wifi. You will find some nice restaurants and bars in the immediate vicinity...

The only not overly overwhelming point was the small and rahther mediocre breakfast buffet - still an excellent choice, though.

Room Tip: any of the rooms in the main building - 206 was excellent

Delightful small hotel, with spacious, well equipped rooms, satellite TV, fast internet, friendly and helpful staff, good breakfast and useful location. Laundry was done determinedly, if not gracefully, and evening meals in the restaurant generous, if variable. Has its own pool and sauna. Only downside is the club next door - if you stay over the weekend expect little sleep on Friday and Saturday night - take earplugs. It might also be an idea to avoid the room over the sauna, both for reasons of late night noise and heat coming through the floor. If you're tall, check you can get in the shower before committing to a room - at least one has restricted headroom.
Good restaurants nearby - the Prestij and the London House both offer excellent and substantial food at prices that wouldn't get you a McMeal in Western Europe. There's also an ATM at the Post Office next door and a little shop beside the hotel that does drinks and snacks. It closes at 1900 so call early.
One final item - the wireless connection is all over the place but the Ethernet port in each room offers blazingly fast Internet connections - so bring a cable.

Room Tip: Stay as far away as possible from the club next door and make sure you have enough headroom in the s...

I stayed at this hotel in October while visiting the area on business. The staff were very friendly and accomodating. Even after arriving late evening they had no problem allowing me access to the pool nad steam room. The leisure area is small but adequate for 'chilling out'.

The room was spacious, with comfortable bed and lovely furniture. The bathroom was well equipped and everything was well cleaned daily.

Breakfast was very good with a wide variety of choice. Again staff were very accomodating.

Room Tip: All the rooms are different.
