“great help in Nazca”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 2, 2014

I did not really stayed at the hostel, I arrived in the morning and left at night. All I needed, was organization of flying over the lines, and seeing two archaeological sites. When you arrived to Nazca, there is a lot of hostels and agencies, and you can easily do it all yourself. May be even cheaper. However, the management (it is run by a family) was very responsive in emails, they have a package for stay+fly (very good), they organized tours for me, for a very good price (I compared on Tripadviser), so I got a maximum from this day. The room was clean and nice and had hot water. So it was a good base for exploration. Note by the way, if you are over 100 kg (I am heavier), you need to warn in advance - there could be a problem of balancing you for a plane. They mentioned that it is against the rules in general (they weigh everybody at the airport, and pilots balance passengers, so I had to wait for a similar person to sit in the row, pretty serious business), but a little propina does it. (They said they changed pilots for "easier ones" to easy plane load.) All passed well, I flew and survived. Trips to Cauchilla, etc. were terrific!

This is a small family-run operation and Luis is the heart and soul of it. The rooms are clean and good value. It's not fancy, it is a hostel, but there's wifi, private washrooms if you're willing to pay a few Sols extra. Luis will meet you from the local bus station and take you to your accommodations, and his English is passable though I suspect he would prefer Spanish (even if your Spanish is the usual broken traveller's quality).

Luis will also be willing to hook you up with local tours that can offer the flight over the Nazca Lines or a dune buggy tour locally (instead of driving 2.5 hours to Ica). Give him a shout over email and enjoy your trip to Nazca. He'll definitely make you feel at home!

We recommend you stay at the safe and friendly Hospedaje Yemaya, the owners are a lovely family and go out of their way to help to organise tours. We had great conversations with them and they made our stay at Nasca special.

If you are just looking for a place to spend the night, this is the place for you, it is not a fancy place, is modest and clean, has wi-fy, and is very inexpensive, the value of this place is the owner itself, he can offer a package for the room and the Nazca lines Flight for about $80 dollars total, you can't beat this price. The room includes breakfast but I will skip it if I were you, if you are doing the Nazca Lines flight right after. Their location is awesome, few blocks away from the bus stop. If u buy the flight in Lima or Online you will be paying over 100 dollars like I did. I use Aero Diana nice flight they have one row of seats in each side, so your pictures are perfect.

We meant to stay only one night but ended up staying for two because of stomach problems after our flight over the Nasca Lines. The staff were so helpful when we arrived, pointing out places to go in town, good food for vegetarians, and helped book us a flight over the lines. When we returned not feeling well they made us tea and let us rest in a room for the afternoon, which turned into overnight.

We loved our stay at this hostel. It is very basic but we had our own clean bathroom with hot water amazing wifi and the roof deck is great. The staff were fantastic but if you are looking to go to the nazca lines book directly with aeropanas and it is $80. Overall great accommodation for the price.

Spent a night here so that I could specifically fly over the Nazca lines. The room was clean and simple, with hot water in the shower. The owner is a friendly guy and was able to arrange some tours for me for a fair price. He also met me at the local bus station very early in the morning. The hotel is located just off the main street and two blocks from the bus station. No problems with noise, although I wasn't aware that they offered breakfast since it wasn't mentioned. Good place to stay for a night or two.
