“nice little hotel with pool.....”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 4, 2014 via mobile

Let down by one miserable sour faced receptionist.

This hotel was perfect for us a little bit of normality inbetween hostels. Room was more than adquate with a double and single bed, bathroom was good size with the hottest water we have come across. Room was hot at night despite fan, not sure I'd like to be here mid season. Breakfast was good, eggs, bread, jam, juice and coffee, but lunch of beand and rice and chicken fried rice from the pool wasnt great.

The hotel takes in group tours during the day who arrive for lunch and to use the pool after theyve been dune buggying, so you need to grab the sunbed before they arrive.

The only thing that let this hotel down was one miserable receptionist who pretended not to speak a word of english, not understand our basic spanish and pretended she didn't know what room number we were referring to when they only had 3 other guests, even the old boy who portered at night remembered us! All the other staff were lovely, smiley and friendly.

looking around this is probably one of the nicer hotels in Huacachina

Only stayed here one night but it's a nice enough place. Great pool (large and clean) with plenty of lawn chairs available. Friendly staff. Clean bathrooms and warm showers. The rooms are basic but comfortable.

They have a secure luggage room in the reception building which was great for us since our bus wasn’t leaving until later in the day, hours after check out, so that was convenient to not have to carry our bags around the oasis.

Great room, great staff, very clean pool and amenities all at a decent price. The hotel is centrally located in the town square, the wifi is quite good as well considering we're in the middle of the desert! We even did the "must do" dune buggy tour from the hotel grounds! Highly recommendable… Hope this review was helpful!

Room Tip: All rooms overlook the pool, second floor has a nice balcony you can sit on that overlooks the prope...

This is a simple but attractive little hotel at the nice end of the oasis beside the Desert Nights restaurant and tour agency. Rooms are small but acceptable with twin or double beds, bedside tables and a small but adequate dresser, cable TV and access to wifi. Bathrooms are small but quite sufficient with plenty of hot water. Rooms are not a/c but have ceiling fans. Windows open onto the pool area. The swimming pool is very nice, and was always clean. There is a cafeteria for snacks and beverages near the pool, and next door is the restaurant where breakfast is served. The staff is very attentive but no one speaks English, nevertheless next door is the Desert Nights restaurant and tour agency. Here you can purchase dude buggy trips and local sightseeing, including trips to the Nasca Lines. English is spoken at this place, and the owner is a US citizen. A huge sand dune comes to within a block of this property.

Room Tip: Ground floor rooms open directly to the swimming pool. 1st. floor rooms may be a little quieter, but...

We stayed here for two nights. The rooms are fine, quite basic, but the pool is very nice. Clean fresh water with line beds. The staff didn't speak English but helped us anyway with booking a bus and sand buddy tour.

Due to some physical problems I was unable to stay in a dorm at the Desert Nights so the staff there suggested this place. This area is dominated by backpackers - this place is listed as a hostel however it is a hotel. Cost me 80.00/night wifi was not working for me so I had to use the desert nights wifi (and that hostal was 9.00 /night. )The only person who spoke English was the owner. I guess this would be a good stay for a family but if you are backpacking take a hostal

Great stay, personal service. If one has basic Spanish, then talking with the owners brings out their generous nature. I was grateful for the drive by the owner to the bus station and to a vineyard where I bought Picasso wine. There was no mention of money for the services. The pool was clean and the server brought me a lemonade on the pool deck. Room and shower areas were large. Enjoyed the stay as it was across from the wonderful sand dunes in Huacachina - sand boarding a must when there. Would definitely stay there again.

Room Tip: Any room away from the road is quiet and also in the upstairs in the main house.
