“They need a new booking system!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed January 28, 2014

Have not stayed at this property but I have sure tried to book. Their system has been telling me they would confirm my reservation within 24 hours for the last 2 weeks. Hmmmm, do we think they have a problem??? I have sent additional messages also with no response... perhaps they have gone out of business?

Excellent rooms facing the river and the mountains, great staff always willing to help, impeccable cleanliness. The restaurant is small but the food quality is good, and the breakfast service is pretty decent.

As people said view is awesome. Staff very nice. Food not good, Toto's I think hotel has tie up w the particular hotel, I would never go back to this hotel even for cup of coffee. Great location, near to train station, room was very comfortable, I think overall good place to stay but not to eat.

Incredible rooms overlooking rushing river. Fireplace, great bathroom, candles(nice touch). Staff very pleasant& in house breakfast good with a nice selection.
The only disappointment was the restaurant Toto 's that is included. I would not return to it.
The menu was a small sample of the full menu, service mediocre, they charged to add milk to coffee (2 S), a glass of local wine was 25 S and water
6 S. No choice for dessert just
a slice of soft mushy stuff.
This restaurant does not measure up to the wonderful experience at the hotel Hatun
Inti.

This hotel is on the right side of the tracks running through town and is central for both the train and the early morning buses up to Machu Picchu. Our large comfortable room had a huge bathroom with a jacuzzi which was very soothing at the end of the day. We had a balcony overlooking the river and the hotel was small and homely with friendly staff. Breakfast was served downstairs and we found an excellent bar, just down the street, serving superb pisco sours to celebrate our return from Machu Picchu.

Room Tip: Rooms overlooking the river are best

This B&B was the most modern and clean of any we have visited in S. America. Room was large and super clean with sliding door facing the river. Bathroom, shower, and tub were all huge with great water pressure and lots of available hot water :) Staff was very friendly. Bottled water, small chocolates, and cookies complimentary.

Location: right down the street from the train station (less than 5 minute walk). Across the street from Machu Picchu buses (less than 2 minute walk). Lots of shops and restaurants close by.

Breakfast starts at 5am and was diverse enough to get you ready for Machu Picchu exploring.
The cost of our stay included breakfast and dinner for each day, which was a great deal considering overall high prices in this touristy town, however, I would not recommend their dinner option at Toto's Restaurant (see my review).

Room Tip: The flowing river is very loud, but I did not find it disruptive to my sleep. Rooms facing the rive...

Was a little underwhelmed when I stepped into the hotel and into my room. It's definitely a B&B - "homely" at best. The jacuzzi was a nice touch but we just couldn't seem to work it. Anyway, there were so many flies landing in it since our room was next to the river, so wouldn't have been that atmospheric sharing the bath with them. Only good thing going for this place is its location, which is literally across the road/tracks from the railway station and the bus station.
