Was a guest in Faisalabad Serena on 24 April 2006, my first impression was very positive as the hotel lobby was set in impeccable country decor. It was absolutely charming.
My room was on the Jasmine Floor (executive room) of Faisalabad Serena. The room was again in a Country Style with nice dark-wood furniture and old-style lightings. The window overlooks a garden with a small fountain.
The room was nice and cosy for me. It certainly is good for a nice quiet time alone after a day packed with meetings. I would prefer to have a long sofa to relax on but the two good-sized armchairs aren't too shabby. I've attached a photo of the room, so you'll grasp what I mean.
Food is OK but not fantastic. You can rely on the Barbecue Grills restaurant on the lawns and the Chinese restaurant.
The executive room comes with a complimentary 2-shirt a day ironing service but do give yourself ample lead time for completion of ironing. I told the staff I would need my shirt in 15 minutes as I was heading for an early morning meeting. The staff told me 30 minutes is the best he could do. But eventually the shirt was returned only in 55 minutes, and that's after much pushing from my part.
So here it is:
1. Expect a nice and cosy room.
2. Passable food.
2. Service is forgettable.
Overall, I believe Serena is still the best hotel in Faisalabad, I will return again.
