“Lekki conservation center”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 27, 2013

It is good place for calm and quite getaway within the hustle bustle of Lagos. You can just be with nature, pat the 300 years old tortoise(not sure if it is a turtle), there several spots with display boards as to what to look for in each of those spots(swamps), it would be a good watching(bird and animal) point only if people visiting that place know how to be quite and not talk amongst themselves or on their mobile loudly as in silence the voice carries far and be sure no bird/animal would understand this human behaviour and continue to do what it was doing.Rest everything is good except ofr this, there is nice tree house which has be vertically climbed up, has safety support. They have planted small shrubs in shoes(never seen it before) Overall it is a decent place for half a day to spend.

“Good Breakaway from noisy Lagos”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 25, 2013

The LCC is a good place to visit in order to see nature and its inhabitants coexist harmoniously away from the disturbance and disruption of the ever busy and noisy Lagos. I enjoyed the eerie feeling as you walk through the track trying to sight any animals or reptiles. I marveled at the tree house. However, something needs to be done at the picnic area.

“Nigerian Conservation Foundation!!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 25, 2013

The Lekki Conservation Centre contains a really nice wooden walk way into the forest and is a nice and tranquil break to the hustle and bustle of the city life. The turtles are very cute and sometimes friendly enough to have their photo taken with you - in close proximity. The cafe and gift facilities are limited but I think they are working on making it more 'tourist friendly' while maintaining standards as an eco-park. The organisation is very transparent and you can feel good about donating more than the token fee as it goes towards the Nigerian Conservation Foundations work to create awareness surrounding environmental issues and encourage 'conservation'!

“Surprised to find this gem!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 29, 2013

I never knew that this wonderful place existed until recently! Located on the way to Lekki Market and Chevron compound, this is hidden just off the road. There is a bit of struggle concerning price of entry--seems it changes a lot--but once you are inside the gate it is a peaceful quiet location away from the craziness that is Lagos. We saw an alligator peeking above the water and lots of monkeys. Mainly, it is just a nice place to walk around and relax, enjoying the plants and animals. If you walk far enough to the back the terrain changes and you leave the tropical type plants and enter a desert-like area. This is a natural change of terrain, and quite abrupt! A great place to visit for a change of pace. Nothing earth-shattering, but when you live in Lagos a little bit of nature goes a long way!
