“Berber Banquet”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 3, 2012

We had a local who grew up in Rissani recommend this tucked-away eatery. He called ahead for us and the staff was ready with table and refreshments on arrival. We ate lunch in a traditionally decorated room that celebrated the oasis history of the area. The food was fresh and flavorful. Being vegetarians did not preempt the chef from serving up a fantastic Berber pizza that seemed to take up the whole table. Bread is sacred in Morocco. This inspired iteration of the pizza was delicious stuffed flat-bread. Take a loaf of traditional Berber bread, stuff it with mushrooms, tomato, squash, olives, beans and spices and bake. The result was enough to feed six. It was the only time in our entire tour of Morocco where we took the leftovers for later. Simply delicious.

“The best couscous in Morocco”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 2, 2012

We ordered couscus in almost every place in Morocco and only here in this restaurant we got something special. Coucous was dark yellow and not as dry as usual, it tasted wonderfully. We also liked the vegetables which also were prepared differently. The interior design was beautiful and prices reasonable.
Restaurant owner Hicham made us very welcome in the restaurant and in his city. We recommend this place as a serene and relaxing island in Morocco.

“Welcoming and friendly”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 9, 2012

We were warmly welcomed to Restaurant La Baraka after being dropped off in Rissani from staying in the hotel which is owned by the same family out in the desert. The very friendly staff let us stay in the restaurant for eight hours while we waited for our night bus. It was even kept open after hours so we had some where to relax, drink tea and use the wifi for free. It was raining outside and we had our large backpacks so it was such a relief having some where dry and comfortable to stay.

It is one of the only places in Rissani with WIFI.

The food is delicious and the service is outstanding.

“Great food, even better service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 9, 2012

Had a lunch of Moroccan salad ( just the right amount of peppers) with a chicken kebab dish, all fantastic. And the price is right. Altogether, big thumbs up.

PS: nice and cool inside on a hot day :)
