“A unusual site of Morrocan luxury: near the Sahara”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 12, 2012

We were tired from our amazing drive from Fez through unbelievable mountains, unusual geologic formations and then to the flat edge of the Sahara. The kasbah style of the hotel allows for all rooms to open up onto their own private terraces, each wing of rooms opens up to a private garden. Then there is a huge beautiful pool with lounging and dining areas. We retired to the pool after our meal, sitting with the twinkling of candles and took in the peacefulness of the place. There were many authentic Moroccan crafts and textiles throughout the property. We left the next day for a trip to the desert and exchanged this beautiful luxury for an amazing adventure on camels.

“Beautiful but...”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 28, 2011

Very good rooms, big, clean, nice decoration, little terrace, really fine. Bathroom was poor (water everywhere each time you washed your hands or take a shower!) and you don't expect that when you see the quality of the room or the hotel. Beautiful pool. Really a nice place to stay. BUT: staff in the restaurant wasn't helpful or friendly. Our diner was good but my friends are vegetarian and the received just boiled vegetables in a tajine!! On our tour we received everywhere very tasty vegetarian tajines!! And there in this expensive hotel it was very very bad!!! Breakfast was also very poor for the price you pay for 1 night.

“So romantic we had to pinch ourselves”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 17, 2011

We arrived at this kasbah after a long drive from Fez and we were completely bowled over. The pool, the room, the pool! Biggest one we have seen during our 3-week trip in Morocco. Our room was big and clean, with airco and a small courtyard (ideal for drying your bathing suits and towels). We obviously didn't spent much time in the room because have I already mentioned the pool? We immediately went for a swim before getting ready for dinner. The kasbah offers a very good 3-course meal for 150 dirhams, which is served at the pool. They also serve alcohol. As the evening draws near, we were surrounded by small lanterns and birds. We even saw a white owl. It was so romantic we had a laughing fit, but that's just us. Tip: there are a few mosquitos around in the evening, so in case you hate them as much as I do, make sure you are protected (by clothing or repellant).
We went for a swim before breakfast, which is served at the pool area as well. Ofcourse the breakfast was great, in line with all other services at this kasbah. There's free internet at the reception, ideal to check email before you head into the desert or the Atlas mountains.
Couldn't recommend this kasbah more!

“Clouds of stars”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 14, 2010

Memorable stay in the well situated kasbah. Many thanks to the father and son, welcoming us warmly at the fire telling dessertstories.

Desserttrip never to forget. Watch the prices, negotiable, but high in the beginning.

When visiting this kasbah, make sure you book a night in the dessert! And don't forget your alarmclock for the sunset...
