“Better than at home”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 3, 2011

I have stayed recently in chez Youssef, and I loved this place.
It is an adobe traditional nice house in Merzouga, very closed to the dessert dunes. The food is good, the tajine was delicious and the breakfast was also very good (I loved the fig jam!).
And the best was the kindness of Youssef. He makes you feel at home, or even better!
I highly recommend this cozy house, and I hope to come back one day.
inchallah!

Service was very good. Thanks for Moha's hospitality!
It was a great experience to live in traditional house of Merzouga and to see a bit of local people daily rithm. House is warm and cozy, air conditioning in every room.
Also dinner was very delicious - the best couscous and tagine!
Location - very close to the center of village and shops.

Chez Youssef - the best place for accommodation in my Morocco experience. Wonderful hospitality, warm and cozy rooms, garden suitable for leisure, delicious breakfast and dinner, a unique landscape outside the home - in the desert, palm trees, local friends - children.
On arrival at Merzouga any local resident is ready to help. Village has a special aura. People are friendly and hospitable. Home owner expect us with welcome drink. The rooms are very comfortable and clean. Home owner presents the local people life. In breakfast there are usually very tasty pancakes and other dishes. For dinner you can enjoy traditional Moroccan cuisine. The best ever!
Believe it or not, here you can visit also pool in the village of desert. The best activity -camel trek. It's very romantic. Stars, the sunset and sunrise and Berber culture...
Wonderful trip in my experience. Greetings to Moha! And hope to see you soon again!

Moha and Ahmed are fantastic guys, very friendly and customer oriented. The guesthouse it's not really a 5 stars, but it's great for staying in Merzouga and exploring the area. I've stayed there 3 nights in August 2010 and I enjoyed a lot those moments.

I stayed at Chez Youssef for three nights in July. It is located in a traditional house at a quiet spot in the middle of the village of Merzouga, which gives it a lot of local charm. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful and made me feel right at home; the cooking was excellent and my room was comfortable and airconditioned.

I can recommend Chez Youssef to everybody!
