“Gem in the heart of the desert”

Merzouga is the best place I visited in Morocco and this riad has pushed in this direction. The owner is really friendly and available such as also the rest of the people you will be in contact with. I recommend the camel ride into the deep desert, you will have a very good dinner under the stars in the middle of the Sahara. The riad is very clean and the quality of food is great.

We were bought to Riad Nezha by our tour company (Highlights Of Morocco)
We spent two nights here, one night in the desert camp owned by the Riad and one in the hotel itself.

The condition of the camps was so much better than we had imagined- all with electricity, solid beds, clean bedsheets and pillow cases! There was even a hidden washroom with toilet and sink (shhh!) Dinner was great, and our Berberic hosts were lovely~ We enjoyed the camel ride, the meal, the singing, the chatting and all.

Back to Riad Nezha the next morning, we had a refreshing shower and breakfast. The Riad Nezha was generally comfortable and clean, tho not in its best condition, it was still a lovely shelter for us to hide away from the heat/ rain/sand storm. We understood we were in the desert, The staff was friendly, warm, attentive and even humorous. Though not fluent in English, they tried their best to ensure our comfort.

Special thanks to the staff member (sorry I didn't get his name) for taking my mom back to the Riad on a desert scooter after the night at the camp, for she grew too tired to ride the camel. THANK YOU for your kindness!!

Oh, and we had absolutely the BEST TAGINE BEEF here at Riad Nezha, you've got to try it!!

What a stunning place to stay right on the edge of the Sahara! We arrived at night here and were warmly and enthusiastically welcomed. Our hosts especially made our two sons, ages 15 and 13, feel welcome, while learning some basic Arabic and multilingual greetings in English and Arabic. The building complex here is beautiful with perfect views from the rooftop terrace of the surrounding area, including the first sights of the Sahara desert.

We arrived to this stunning Riad in the cover of darkness. Greeted warmly by the team of Riad Nezha led by Brahim the owner. All details personally attended promptly and effortlessly. With a couple of hours left to greet the new year all was made special and welcoming for us. We had a truly special new years eve gala dinner followed by dancing. Excellent food choices, the staff made an excellent effort to make this night memorable for all present at the Riad so far away from our homeland. All facilities are very good and a splendid location for use as a base to explore the desert which is at the foot of this Riad. The view from our room was stunning, an oasis of palm trees with the Sahara sands just behind.Brahim and Mohamed speak many languages fluently, this made our time there very easy and interesting.
We highly recommend the stay in this Riad and all it has to offer for those interested in visiting Merzouga and exploring the desert.

We spent one night in the riad--all the staff made us feel so welcome and the food was great. The rooms were well appointed and comfortable. The excursion during the day was truly wonderful with the musical performance, the 4x4 ride, seeing the fossils, a mine, then ending with our ride out into the dunes on camels to watch the sun set and stay over in the camp, watching the sun rise in the morning. Akmed (or Ahmed?) was really great, serving a wonderful meal, and making us feel at home at the fire, playing drums, singing, etc. Great experience--once in a lifetime!

First, I have to quote this: "In Merzouga, the impressive, fortress-style, sand-colored Riad Nezha has great views of the giant sand dunes from some of its rooms and, best of all from the terrace." I would add to it the spectacular show the stars can give at night from the terrace. We stayed for two nights in the hotel: one in the hotel itself, and the second in the desert. The staff was extremely helpful and the hospitality was amazing. Breakfast was very good, as the tee served at any time. They also allowed us to shower there after the camel trek/night in desert, plus a last morning meal.

During my recent trip to Morocco I spent two nights at riad Nezha. As soon as we arrived, delicious Moroccan mint tea and peanuts were served to greet me and my friend. Dinner was superb as we had the best salad and Tajine ever. The hospitality of the staff made us feel so much at home and the free wifi made it such an enjoyable stay too! The room we got was peaceful as we could have a great view of the desert. In the morning we watched sunrise from the roof top terrace and in the afternoon we had sunset camel trek into the desert arranged by the staff. It was a truly amazing experience! Everything about this place was excellent and I highly recommend riad Nezha to anyone taking a trip to the Sahara desert.
