This was our second visit to Berjaya, the resort is very peaceful our room a little dated but excellent, clean and tidy although we were disappointed by the extra bed for our adult son as it was just a put you up bed and far too short for his over six ft body......we found the food ok but not cheap.....the staff were very friendly except on reception as they were rather surly and couldn't be bothered to help you but the other staff were wonderful and were always ready to help and treated you with a smile every time......
The diving was wonderful and the dive site staff excellent, helping where ever they could...the sea warm and clear, the pool fantastic, changing area reasonable my only grumble was people hogging the beds by leaving their towels there and then disappearing for an hour or so then expecting the bed to be still there for them when they next appeared.....
Transport good to and from the airport although a little tired, I fell up into the bus when I first arrived and the driver remembered and asked how my knee was when I went on the return trip....
All in all a wonderful island and well worth a visit and we hope to return again.....

Nice place to stay, plenty of activities, golfing n food. Clean chalets good aircontioning. Round the island tour can be arranged or walk or hike across island at your own leisure. Must travel when not during monsoon period. Clean pool and excellent services

We stayed March 2-8 2013. If your budget allows, go for the Deluxe Beachfront Chalets. We had room 219 which enjoys the late afternoon sunshine. Meal prices are B/fast - 33 Rgt, dinner- 70 Rgt. Both are Buffet with a magnificent and ever-changing selection. Wine is 18 per glass or 90 per bottle, beer 9.50 per can. There are 2 restaurants just outside the main gate, the one nearest the sea is Chinese cuisine, the opposite, local seafood BBQ. There is an ATM in the village, right opposite the Airport and next to the Post Office, it accepts foreign Cards. The snorkelling at Ringgis Island just off the resort is brilliant, be careful of the current though when the tide is changing, it can be quite swift. There are a couple of pools at the resort, try the one just past reception, it's by far the quieter one! Also present are a troupe of Monkeys and the odd water and land varieties of monitor lizards. The Berjaya bus meets both the KL and the Singapore flights and most ferries each day, so it's possible to hitch a lift (space available) either to or from Tekek village, although it's only a 15 min walk.

It's serousily a dreamsurrouding if it comes to beach and nature! But a view minor things are the chalets which are dated and the bathrooms could be cleaner we also missed towels in our cabin which were brought on a warm and peacefull time( its wasnt really fully booked) 4 hours later. The food in the restaurant is extremely expensive and not nice, but the little chinese place next door is awsome if you just go a little out of the resort you find 2 little restaurant the one on the right is really great, fresh fish for a small price and very friendly people, we ate there every day at least once after another tip from a local person and the food was incredible...always nice to eat a bit more of the local food. Another disadvantage is the high prices they ask for cultural activities but the nature of the island is so breathtaking and its so peacefull there we stayed 6 days and didnt regret it at all...I would give the resort 3 stars and the surrounding 5!
