“Good hotel and service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 19, 2013 via mobile

I stayed in this hotel on a business trip. Its located right on the coast and has rooms that are over the sea. Everything about this place was pretty good. The food especially was always a high standard and reasonably priced. The service was excellent as well. Sometimes service can be quite patchy in this part of the world but no complints here.

The stay was good. Staff were friendly and courteous. Pools are clean. Slide in kids pool was good entertainment for the but not for long. The peacocks were beautiful, they're let off free within the resort.
Rooms were small. Twin rooms are not exactly twin size beds - it is a room with 2 single beds. The day beds were too short for an adult to sleep in.
Our room had a great view of the ocean but the air conditioning wasn't cool. It was so hot in the night and we didn't get enough sleep.
Balconies creek when stepped on. The wooden floors needs upgrading.
Breakfast spread was good - good timing 7am to 11am. Excellent for us as we get to breakfast early with a poolside table. Sent the kids into the pool and they can come out to snack till 11am.

My partner and I booked this place for last minute and never expect anything from the price we paid. We arrived at night, and to our surprise this place look amazing! This view was look nice and worth the price we paid. The reception service was kind too. We've choose water chalet for one night stay, however, we decided to extend our night in this wonderful chalet.

There are two things that need to be approve are the bathroom was so hot and the air circulation was not very good due to air-cond compressor. I've take a cold water shower instead of hot shower that i always did. I was sweating after taking a bath when I was standing inside there to applying a lotion. Besides that, there are no breakfast provided for water chalet booking. It only provided for those who are book for premium water chalet, which the different was only a view and the price is double up. But it doesnt matter for us, depend on individual itself, either to choose to have a meal in chalet or drive nearby which only 5-10 minutes.

We plan to come back here in future. Is really relaxing place to stay.

We stayed at the premium water chalet which is basically the furthest chalet from the beach area. The plus side is the view of the ocean is unobstructed and it is really very private. The room was nice, with a four poster bed which has heavenly pillows.. There is also a sizable daybed that is perfect for my 2 young sons. I absolutely love the bathroom.. It is huge with two sinks, bath tub and rain shower.

The resort itself has plenty of things to offer the whole family. There is a small beach, although the water is not very clean, generally so in all of Port Dickson, is decent enough for the kids to play with the sand and has a beach experience. There are a few pools. One to cater for the small kids which has a slide.. (although I personally think the slide is a bit dangerous) and a family pool. There is also an adult pool which is wonderful, as it caters to those honeymooners.
However, I think the water in the pool is not really clean as it was quite murky.

The spa concept is heavenly and very relaxing with the balcony overlooking in the ocean. Highly recommended.

Other than that, there are petting zoo and kids cabin (although quite basic) for more children entertainment. Food in the resort are also quite nice and worth to try them out rather than wander in the town of Port Dickson

I missed this out...oops! Hope it helps ;)

Like
1) near Kuala Lumpur city for a quick get away...a drive of say +- 1 1/2 hour
2) clean room on stilts & on the sea
3) rain shower with view of stars & sky above you!
4) nice pool with kid slide
5) professional service
6) lots of wood in the room
7) pet farm was excellant
8) steam bath was equally good

Dislike
1) staff are mostly foreigners hence don't expect must warmth or greetings/smiles from them except the guards
2) limited seatings in the breakfast area
3) dirty/milky like water in the swimming pool wi
4) dipping and swimming allowed despite not properly attired
5) shower in room tend to get flooded as water can't flow out quick enough

Remarks
Staffs at pet farm was exceptionally friendly and courteous

Tips
Go early for breakfast as shortage of seating place.

It is beautiful resort to stay in for the holiday and relax. A lot variety of choice but the only draw back is there are many flies. The room is spacious with private balcony each. The toilet is by its own, there is huge shower rain head and a bath tub to enjoy bubble bath. There is also strong Wi-Fi in the room too. The chalets are build on top of the sea, every night when you sleep can hear the waves and it is surrounded with beautiful plants, flowers and tree within the area. The spa is a amazing and good, it is totally worth the money.

I had one of the sea villas on a business trip. I especially liked the open air bathroom with the separate shower area, bath tub, and toilet. Pretty much the only thing I liked since it was a business trip - the food was so so and the amenities was also nothing special. The sea was not that inviting as was dirty. Food was nothing to shout about either.
