“Right next to the beach”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 3, 2013

The hotel is clean, but don't expect anything fancy. The hotel is right next to the beach, which is nice, my daughter had a fantastic time playing in the sand. The view from the room was really nice, we had a nice view of the sea.

However, there is nothing to do in this hotel at all, and I don't understand why the swimming pool is not open even thought the hotel has been open for quite some time now. If you come without a car, you will be stranded here with nothing to do!

The breakfast was average but the flies inside were annoying! It was better the next day when we sat outdoors to have breakfast.

Overall, it is pretty decent for a short, no-frills getaway.

Room Tip: Pick the sea view rooms.

As most of the hotels are fully booked during holiday season, left with no choice but to opt for this hotel which offers "Superior Garden View" rooms (their sea view rooms are fully booked as well). Upon reaching the hotel, I was annoyed with the staff who informed that the rooms will only be ready by 3pm...

Anyway, the rooms although look clean, but smelly and the floors are sticky. The superior garden view is just a deserted backyard of another building!

My wife and I stayed in Klana resort for 2 nights and it was an awesome experience.. The hotel is located at higher ground over looking teluk kemung beach.. We had a sea-view room overlooking the planetarium as well as the sea.. Though the hotel room doesn't have any balcony..
The sea is calm.. Crystal clear and relaxing.. The beach is not littered.. There is a walkway made out from cement slab along the reef where you can just sit on it and watch the sunset.. The beach is secluded.. Feels like we pay for the whole stretch of beach as well.. (maybe it's low season of the year)
The hotel is bout 10 minutes drive from port Dickson town (depending on the traffic).. There are convenient shops along the way to port Dickson town.. So not much of trouble driving all the way up to town..
The room is fully furnished and comfortable.. The hotel management play nasyid music all the while..
But the sad part is the kitchen.. There is a fly in my fried bihun..
Overall, if you are looking for quiet relaxing vacation.. I would recommend you this..

For self drivers, look for Ancasa hotel and Klana is behind. Generally the rooms are generally clean, not spotless, given that its only 2 years in operation. Design theme: modern.

There is no bathtub and the swimming pool is closed. The "stargazing" observatory is also out of bounds for some reasons. I guess the message is to swim at the beach.

Klana itself has a cement steps and walkway for guests to stroll along the rocky shore which connects up to the observatory which is out of bounds. You can also use the public sandy beach which is shared with Ancasa. Apart from an unknown pipe that goes into the sea, the beach is full of holiday makers and water sports activities.

We only had breakfast in the hotel, its quite good value for money. There are sufficient options for non-curry-chili-fans. Seaview from breakfast is priceless!

the hotel is of good standards given the price we paid. the only thing that is very memorable during our stay was the prayers that was being played at the lobby. the hotel was a little empty when we were there for the night so it was pretty tranquail, too bad the observatory was not unmanned so we missed the night and lost the chance.

Room Tip: no swimming pool

Stayed for two nights for workshop organized by KPM. This is one of the Shariah compliant hotel managed by Majlis Agama Islam Negeri Sembilan (MAINS). Overall hotel is good. Food and beverages also good with local dishes. Played Quran recitation or nasyid music at the lobby, restauran and hotel corridor. This hotel also served as a accommodation for Baitulhilal guest. Baitulhilal is the place which Islamic religion council use telescope to set up the date for Ramadhan and Hari Raya.

Moderately priced, the room we have was clean and comfortable.
We were here for the annual raptor watch event, but apart from birdwatching, we were hoping with the observatory just next to the hotel we'd be able to do some stargazing too. but alas no luck! the person-in-charge simply didn't turn up that night. the hotel staff kept on apologizing but it was not his fault. We have decided to come back again next year for raptor watch, hopefully we'll have better luck next time. haha...
The included breakfast was quite tasty although quite limited in choice. I love the fried mee, a bit salty but quite nice. the staffs are friendly and helpful too. nice service.
Overall, a pleasant stay, we have managed to relax here.

oh btw, the swimming pool is still undergoing renovation... well....

Room Tip: Doesn't matter with the sea view, there's no balcony for you take in the view, you have to p...
