“Ok but not ok...”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 15, 2013

Ok for the apartment size (stayed in 3 bedrooms apt Block A- garden view), covered carpark and wading pool with slide, kids love it! Direct access to the beach - Teluk Kemang; plenty of stalls just outside the fence if you are too lazy to drive out. Thumbs up for the futsal court. Thingy which are Not OK- stayed at 9th floor with balcony with no grille kinda dangerous for family with young kids. Birds drops along the balcony, cleanliness still the issue, no lights at the corridor to the lift and warfare during breakfast the coffee house which offers limited seats! Make sure you be at the coffee house as early as possible for breakfast. Be prepared for crowded pool. Overall, this is not a place if you're looking for quality relaxing time. This place is more to budget family gathering sort of place with decent things to offer.

Room Tip: Choose lower floor for family travel with young kids. Go as early as possible for breakfast to avoid...

The Good: The apartments quite large (2 bedrroms, 2 baths - a family of 4 has plenty of room), nice balcony, good size fridge, good air flow when you open the balcony door, kiddie pool with slide, located next to beach.
The Bad: Bedrooms are carpeted (carpet at the beach always confounds me), no air-con in living room (only the bedrooms have aircon), static on tv channels. The pool was fairly small, uninspiring, very crowded, noisy, and the water somewhat dirty. The beach had a significant amount of trash/debris on it as well as big piles of sand (in process of resanding?). No lifeguard on duty when we were there (a lady almost drowned about 10 meters from us). Breakfast average.
Conclusion: Not a bad Port Dickson choice for a family on a budget (as the price to square footage price is low), however with no children I would stay somewhere else.

I booked an apartment (2 bed rooms) for a family vacation. 1 queen size bed at one room and 2 single beds at another room. Every room has balcony. The apartment with living area, dining area and kitchen. 2 bath rooms ( 1 bath room in the master bedroom ).

From the apartment, the ocean view and the garden view were very nice. The best part of the resort was the swimming pool. My family (2 daughters and my wife) and I really had a good time at the pool.

The shortfalls of the resort however, the customer service personnel was not very friendly (dull face), the beach nearby to the apartment was not recommended for swimming (quite dirty), and the facilities and the surrounding environment lack of wow factor.

But overall, this resort is a nice place for a family vacation. During night, there are several food stalls (thai style) available just around 5 minutes drive from the place.

Room Tip: If you planned to visit this resort, ask for block C facing the pool or the sea...

The rooms are ok but the master bed is too small, they could do with some carpets, better electronics, and newer furniture. The hotel premises are small with very little parking lots and crowded but the rooms are spacious. The breakfast area is small with very few choices, the swimming pool is small, dirty and crowded and the hotel service could be improved alot and the beach is non-existent and dirty. This is a hotel for families with not such a big budget to spend on expensive holidays.

Room Tip: Go for the double room if you are a family of four.

I've book two units of two-room apartment via Palace Vacation Club for one night stay with my family. We managed to check in a little bit early for one of the unit as i arrived at PD around 1.30 pm. But we only have our key for the second unit after 6.00 pm and after countless call to the office.

The room is very clean and well managed. It is also very spacious.

All the children are having the time of their life in the pool. The pool is very clean but unluckily the were short of towels when there is too many people in thwe morning.

There were also access to PD beach (kind of private beach for the hotel guest) just at the back of spa. My family also have a blast time with all the activities at the beach such as banana ride.

This is my first trip here but surely the best in time i ever had in PD. I really look up to spend a little longer in the nearer future.

We purchased our stay at Ancasa via GroupOn for 2 bedroom apartment in May 2012.I loved the Ocean View from our apartment.Very clean, spacious and neat place.Sunset was awesome.Further improvement could be done to maintain the other grounds of the Hotel.Swimming pool was very overcrowded all the time.We had our meals outside.Breakfast by the beach across the hotel was cheap, authentic and awesome. Will recommend this place for large families and for large groups. It was a great memorable get away for me
