Don't be fooled by the photo. I cannot understand why this hotel is 4 star hotel.

Everything is old and staff service quality is not any near hotel level.

1. Room is spacious - but old and crappy and smells bad with old towels
2. Swimming pool is small and not clean
3. Nearby beach is dirty with rubbish all over the sands.
4. Unless you bring a car, there's no way you can get out of the hotel. Need to walk +1km to nearby areas. Still, you don't want to go out since all nearby places are dirty.
5. Only way you can escape is via calling a taxi. Which none of them has meter.
6. Checked concierge 3 times of the taxi fare - all three gave me different pricing. I have no confidence of the concierge.
7. Bicycle - hah! 200m of bicycle road. what the...

“A hotel that needs a lot of maintenance attention & staff training”

I was there with my husband and two guests from Europe. They have heard about Port Dickson and wanted to see a bit more of the town and the beach and so we have decided to stay a night at Avillion Admiral Cove.

As we pass the main entrance of the hotel, we were greated by a security guard with a big smile. Good job for the security guards.

No issue on the check-in, we booked two straits studios (which is slightly more expensive than the deluxe), our rooms located at the 3rd floor of the view wing.

The first impression of the room, was spacious and I like the ceiling fan in the bedroom. As usual, you would have a quick inspect of the room. My room, the side table lamp does not work, tv remote does not work properly - reckon it could be a battery issue, a chair has some funny stuff - probably mold, the mattress is a little sunk in in the middle. After our inspection, my guests on the next door already have similiar issues, their chair is totally stained (probably coffee stain), room smells tobacco, tv remote does not work properly, door bell does not work.

After the room inspection, we decided to go for massage treatment so we called the SPA service and later we were informed they can only do 3 guests at 1 time and the booking had been made to 5.30PM and we have to go to the room 1002 for the massage. As we have issue looking for the room 1002 so we headed to the conceirge how we could get to the room 1002. This is when the WHOLE DRAMA happened. We were directed to go to the View Wing, room 1002 was where the message place is. So, the massage will actually take place in a hotel room, when a lady responded to the door, she said there was no massage booking and asked us to come back tomorrow morning at 10AM. There were 2 ladies sitting at the table, eating in the room, you can smell the food in the room where the massage will take place. The two ladies who were sitting inside the room did not bother to greet us and didn't care of the booking and were talking in mandarin that one of the ladies wanted to go home. I can say THERE IS NO SERVICE manner at all. Eventually, we decided not to do the massage, because the smell in the room WAS HORRIBLE!

We went back to the conceirge and told the staff about that, they asked us which massage did we book and they said there were TWO massage 3rd party, asked us who was the guy who confirmed our booking. You can imagine, I repeated myself so many times to explain the situation and not even the hotel staff could resolve this. THEY WERE CONFUSED BY THEIR OWN SERVICE!! THEY HAVE NO UNIFIED COMMUNICATION AND SYSTEM. You can imagine, we wasted our time to resolve the hotel internal process and communication issue! Big shame on the ground management! To me, AS A CUSTOMER, do not care how many service provider you have in your hotel, to me, I call only #5 on the intercome to book for a service!

The swimming pool, sorry to say that many swim with their clothes!!!!! Despite the warning sign was there but it won't work ....

Now come to the breakfast, I can say breakfast was varieties but also messy! Glasses are not clean (with all the juices stain), don't have enough plates to cope with the crowd.

“Unpleasant, dissapointed honeymoon”

My husband booked the Honeymoon Indulgence Package, 27th Dec 2012 to 29th Dec 2012 (2 nights) for our wedding. According to the package, it has includes the below:

· Breakfast for 2 adults [food so so, coffe no taste, no scrumble egg]
· 1 candle light dinner for 2 adults [no candle]
· Welcome chocolate box in room [given 2 pcs choc]
· Full body massage for 2 adults [not bad]

We were looking forward this BUT, there are so many bad and unpleasant experience! We do not receive our welcome chocolate box in room. There is no “Honeymoon” decoration at all in our room… (it’s expecting to have some romantic feel in room as this is Honeymoon package) My husband did call and ask counter about chocolate when we reached (27th Dec), they informed will be ready on candle light dinner, BUT end up we only received 2 pieces chocolate on plate on 28th Dec night after the dinner, 10pm! After my husband asked again at front desk!!! So ridiculous... Box become 2 pcs!!!

Regarding “Candle” light dinner, we’re expecting candle light dinner but it didn’t has any candle on table. Besides that, I ordered Chicken Breast, but it’s not cooked well… it might be the meat too thick... I told the waitress but she's not saying anything,not even apologize on behalf of kitchen! Desert- i think it's suppose a brulee,but it tasted "yucks"...! Cold and 'hard'...

We requested several times for additional 2 pillows. Front desk asked to dial 3 for house keeping, but called 2-3 times,no one answer the call! We went to front desk again and asked for 2 extra pillows!!! Is extremely anoyying keep on requesting the same thing over and over again! Finally we got only 1 and my husband said:"please get us another 1, we requested 2!". After that, We got 2 smelly extra pillow! The bedsheet looks not clean with yellow stains and smelly...


We requested several times for additional 2 pillows. My husband wanted to see manager to complaint about all this but unfortunately we didn’t manage to see him/her. We been told that manager is not free and F&B will give us complimentary on something but what we saw is staff carrying a cake walking around to look for packaging…. We waited for 15-20 mins, decided not to wait for it and move on as we rushing for another date in KL.

We do not understand why our request and enquiry take so long to be responded and attend. It’s a very unpleasant stay for us and has spoilt our memory on wedding honeymoon! We felt been cheated and the money spent is not worth!!!

Sorry to say that we WILL NOT recommend our friends, family, colleagues on Avillion Admiral Cove… if you are considering to stay here, think twice!

But we like the securities in hotel! Very friendly and helpful! This is the only thing we happy with.

“A bit dissappointed...”

My husband and i stayed for 2 nights in one of the rooms facing the yatchs and sea. We decided to stay here after browsing their website. Here are some of my views based on our stay there:

Pros:
1. Our room had a perfect view of the yatchs and the sea. We kept our sliding door open for the breeze.
2. Partition in the room provided privacy even when the sliding door was open.
3. The bed was clean,big and extremely comfortable. Even the pillows were comfortable.
4. The layout and overall decor of the room was excellent. The daybed was comfortable and allow us to enjoy the sunset from our room.
5. Private beach was clean and mantained- good for PD's standard.

Cons:
1. Aircond was breaking down every few hours and was missing the flap that controls air output!! Thank god that we were able to open the sliding window for sea breeze. My husband was really upset but since we didnt want to ruin our holiday, we had decided to ignore this.
2. The sliding door at the bathroom was chipped and would hit the sink everytime we open it!! The sink on the other hand was loose that we had to use it extremely carefully.
3. While using the hand towel i was shocked to discover a huge mould at the cabinet. It looked like the wood was rotting and bending.
4. Card key for our room was faulty- took us several attempts to open our door. I told the reception about the problem and they told me to try harder...seriously??!
5. After spending time at the beach and sea, we had to use the service elevator near the parking area to avoid walking through the hotel lobby and reception. There was no seperate access.

For the price i paid, i was expecting atleast a functioning room. Unless the management do something about their mantainance and upkeeping, i will stay somewhere else.

“Acceptable”

Drove south from Cameron Highlands for 3 1/2 hours; thought a 2 nights X’mas break will be great in PD before driving off to Singapore.
Booked a Superior Room and its ample for us with 2 toddlers.
First night was a nightmare where Mrs was on night sentry clearing out prowling toddler roaches. A total kill of 6, with one puberty roach lost in action.
Glad that they shifted us to a better cleaner room almost immediately. Thank You.

Nothing commendable about the breakfast.

The pool water is milky and overcrowed on Xmas day morning. Well, i guess that’s a norm for festive seasons.

Pet farm: For goodness sake, they are gonna be in trouble if i showed the conditions of the rabbits you are keeping to SPCA. Despite that i still allow my kids to touch and caress them.

Activities X’mas: Glad that you guys have Santa and clowns walking around to hype up the kids christmas spirit...
