Very comfortable lodge on a hill above Lake Nakuru. As previously posted, the rooms are small and could use an update, but overall very comfortable. The meals are served buffet style and are good. The staff are friendly and helpful. We only stayed one night, but that one night was a very pleasant experience. Service included bed turn-down complete with mosquito netting pulled around the bed, although we didn't really need it.

We loved Lake Nakuru - the pink flamingos are amazing. We also saw our only leopard of the week in Kenya at this reserve. White rhinos, one black rhino, cape buffalo, and the endangered Rothschild giraffe.

“Good experience !”

After the bumpy and dusty ride from Nairobi, the hot face towels and welcome drink on arrival at the Lodge were really welcome ! Although our room was quite a distance from the main lobby and dining area, it was reasonably comfortable (the coffee/tea maker and mosquito net around the bed were much appreciated considering that the whole area is swarming with giant size mosquitoes !!). The buffet was quite extensive and the food excellent though I wish at least soft drinks were included with the meals - even plain water had to be bought !
The pink flamingoes were an awesome sight and we got to see rhinos from real close. Unfortunately couldn't sight any big cats.Giraffes, zebras and wild buffalo are aplenty - watch out for the nasty looking baboons !
Since Lake Nakuru National Park is quite small, one night and 2 game drives is sufficient to cover most of the area. If we were to visit the park again, would probably stay at the same lodge since it is considered to be the best one within the park.

The drive to get to the lodge was something else... bumpy roads. I suppose that's part of the international experience! The room was smallish but clean. Just two of us on a budget so we had a basic room. Mosquito netting around the bed as the windows have no screens. Room staff were friendly, but found the dining staff to be a bit stand-offish. During one evening meal there was a man (staff of lodge) with a beautiful singing voice, playing a guitar, going from table to table. Felt a little uncomfortable as we felt he lingered too long at our table, singing, waiting for a tip. The food was good. The dining area is open and reminded me of a camping lodge. We hired our guide thru business travel agency so not sure how guides within the park are. Our guide was great during the safari, listening on his radio for other guides in the park for animal sightings (which is how we were able to see 3 lions). In the evening guests were treated to a group that entertained with dances and songs of different tribes. We were told that the early morning safari would provide more wildlife sightings but found that we saw more animals during our afternoon/evening safari. Get up early to possibly catch wildlife and birds roaming the grounds outside your room.

This Lodge has a beautiful location, over looking the lake, which makes for stunning sunsets. We were upgraded to a suite and the room and balcony were amazing. A large living room, complete with fireplace and dinning room table opened up to a romantic bedroom, complete with candles and sunken tub. Fantastic.

The dining room had a bit of a "holiday-camp" feel to it, and felt a little bit chaotic. Not somewhere we chose to linger. But the food was decent and with such a beautiful balcony to return to, it didn't really matter.

Lake Nakaru Park is small (200km2), which means you can't help but stumble across animals, including lions, leopards, rhinos, and all the common grazers. Good game viewing, but after a day of game drives we were ready to move on.

Enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend the place for a night or two!

We stayed here for 3 days and 2 nights. We absolutely love this hotel because it is in the Lake Nakuru game part and you have soo much to see during the game drives.
Because the hotel is in the park all guest get all ther meal in the hotel and the food was awesome. They catered well for my family and had waiting staff alway within an arms reach. It also helped that I always tiped well.
The room are soo beautifull with a huge mosquito net and a smaller bet if you have a child or two. The showers are best I have seen in any Kenyan hotel with very beautifull desin patterns. The room however dont have a television so make sure you have entertainment for kids, or take two game rides a day to tire them out.
The park is large with numerous animals to see. The flamigo's at the lake are s sight to be cherished. there numeorus other bird for the bird lovers to enjoy. The leopards and lions are difficult to see and you almost have to be luck to see them We were very fortunate to have an awesome tour guide and because of his patients we saw lions, leopards, ostriches, jackals, and eagles.
The reusterant is decent and the food is very good. I especially loved their aged cheese which wvent very well with dry white wine. The desert menu is also very good.
This is a very beautiful resort and we enjoed our selves very much and I would reccommed this hotel any time
