My wife and I recently visited Jordan for nine days. We decided to spend two nights camping in Wadi Rum. We selected Rumshines Camp because it was listed in Lonely Planet and had a very thorough website. We found the staff to be extremely friendly and welcoming. Not only did they tell many Bedouin jokes and constantly supply us all with tea, they also led a nightly dance party. The cook provided a deliciously wide variety of food for dinner--easily exceeding our expectations for camp food. The flush toilets and shower facilities were exceptionally clean. We took a seven hour 4wd jeep tour with a member of the staff and had a once in a lifetime experience. We even hiked through the Khazali Siq with his encouragement and guidance. The location of the camp in the Sunset area is actually located in the Wadi Rum protected area. Also, the views from this particular camp are sublime .we highly recommend this camp.
