“wonderful time”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 28, 2013

my father, mother, sister, little brother and I were there at the Bedouin Lifestyle Camp for one night in 25 December, we had a full programm with camel riding and a jeep-tour. By the way you could also climb a bit, sandboarding (what was really great, too!) and get many information about the beautiful places. We had a funny guide who has cooked for us in the desert, too. It was one of the best experience for all of us. We could enjoy the sunset together and had a delicious dinner. After that we have listened to bedouin music and we learnt how to dance traditional bedouin dance. It was amazing! We had so much fun and all the people are very very nice there. We felt like at home. It was comfortable and if we have the posibility to visit there again, we would like to go there again! Such a nice experience and adventure like there is special and amazing!

My mother, my two sisters and I stayed at the camp for one night in december 2013. We did a short camel trip and a day long jeep-tour, and it was incredible!
Our guide cooked for us in the desert, he explained the most interesting places to us and we had a lot of fun! The beds in the camp are comfortable and the staff was really friendly!!
There is electricity in the bathroom and toilets, and if wanted, we could have had hot water for shower or washing!

To sum up, a great experience in Jordan that we all enjoyed!! :)

The Good:

Location was amazing. In the middle of the desert (about 2 hour walk from the Wadi Rum village), so no nearby amenities but that was definitely part of the magic. At the foot of this huge rock face and at the bottom of a big sand dune which is a great sunset and night sky spot. Staff were friendly and beds were comfy. Atmosphere in common tent was great and the dinner was amazing. No internet or electricity but that was part of the magic - luckily we'd brought torches, but probably would be good for them to let guests know that they will need their own light as none were provided. Staff were friendly and live music and dancing in the evening was fantastic.

The Bad:

When we arrived, we had a bit on an intense intro with the manager who was offering us lots of tours and deals. It was good to know what was on offer but quite an intense introduction and he spoke really fast so we felt a bit pressured. We're young budget backpackers so travelling on a tight budget and couldn't afford most of the things he offered.

Room Tip: Bring a torch!

My friends and I stayed at the Bedouin Lifestyle Camp for 1 night in Nov 2013, our package includes a full day jeep tour. We really enjoyed ourselves there and the camp was quite rustic, and that night we had clear skies with no wind, so we pulled the mattress to the sand and watched the stars from the camp. Some shooting stars were spotted, very magical!

It was a great experience for sky watching as the camp was dark and lit only by a fire,do bring your own torch lights or it'll be hard to walk around. Otherwise they have candles that you can use. There's no lighting in the rooms yet but I believe the owners are working on it...perhaps a small lamp in the room will be great so that the darkness of the night skies will still be preserved. :)

There's lighting in the communal toilets and it's quite clean and comfortable. But it was unfortunate that there's no hot water at all...NO HOT WATER and the nights are cold, most people would be VERY uncomfortable bathing in cold water so hopefully the owners will get some solar heating or hot water of some kind. I didn't bathe for that night as I am afraid of the cold.

Dinner was good although we thought we could have more variety of meats, still it's delicious. Beds were comfortable and the blankets provided were sufficient for the cold nights.

To sum it up... Hot water + a small lamp for each rooms will make this a perfect desert experience. Atallah, please consider using solar energy as it's plentiful in the desert. :-)

My boyfriend and our loved our experience with the Beduion Lifestyle Camp. We did a shared half day tour (although had the trip to ourselves in the end). Our guide was a amazing and helped us climb up to Lawrence's Spring (a bit scary for me) and also had lots of local knowledge about the old rock paintings in the area. We stayed at the camp for the night and the sunset view was amazing. The dinner was the best we had in Jordan and the camp experience was fun (even being made to dance!). The next day we did a camel ride which was fun (although a little bit uncomfortable) and the camp organised our taxi to Aqaba. We wished we could have stayed for longer - amazing place and lovely people!

An amazing adventure, I spent a complete day in the desert with my friends (two girls). We arrived to Attalah's house very early and since the first moment an excellent attention began. We continued with a camel ride to Lawrence Spring (where the views are breathtaking), then we visited by jeep the desert making amazing activities (hiking, sandboarding, drinking tea, exploring canyons). At the afternoon we arrived to the camp (very good facilities, clean private rooms and very clean restrooms), where we enjoyed a wonderful sunset. After that experience, the party started in the camp, we had an exquisite dinner listening live beduin music; we also got the chance to dance a little bit. All this wonderful experience was made possible by Attalah's team; the service could not be better, all the members of the team were extremely kind. I highly recommend tlo visit Wadi Rum and Bedouin Lifestyle Camp is going to make this great experience unforgettable for the rest of your life.

We stayed at Bedouin Lifestyle Camp for 2 nights and had an amazing time! Spending time with the Bedouins in Wadi Rum was the best part of our time in Jordan. Wadi Rum is so beautiful and the Bedouins are very hospitable making feel like part of their home. Everything seemed very well organized, the food was wonderful, and we were very pleased with the accommodations and facilities. We went on the full day jeep and camel tour.. so much fun, our guide spoke very good English and was very friendly!
