“Nice spot”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 2, 2012 via mobile

Something about sitting there with the Dan river gushing next to you. Nice salads, try the smoked trout dip. Nicely prepared whole trout. Try the baked over the grilled

“Good family restaurant in nice place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 24, 2012

If you want to taste well done fish (generally trout ) have to visit that place . The fish farm on the small steram with silent nature around will help you a little relax . Tasty food and splatting voice of stream complement your enjoing from nature. The place exelent for families with children and couples . The place very nice to visit at colder seasons .

“Great Atmosphere”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 19, 2012

Our family of five was visiting northern Israel and our guide, Motti Zaken had recommended this restaurant. We chose to have dinner there, but most tables, although outdoors, are covered by a tarp or loose roof keeping most shaded.

When we arrived around 8 PM it was very crowded, but were able to get a table by the stream - a wonderful site. This restaurant is all about the trout, though there are other options. All of us chose to have trout - the whole fish - and were instructed how to de-bone it. Even our youngest was able to handle it and all had a great time.

I should note that dinner starts with a table-full of mediterranean salads and bread with olive oil. It's very easy to fill up on this but please save room for the most flavorful and fresh trout you may ever have the chance to eat unless you catch it yourself.

Although not a five star gourmet meal, the food was very good and it's worth the trip for the atmosphere and experience.

“Excellent trouts, nice setting”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 19, 2012

The best thing about Dag Al HaDan is its superb trouts - fresh from the pools of the nearby Kibbutz Dan. Each main course also includes free mezzes and one bread (freshly baked). The place is very casual and is located on the banks of the Dan creek. Reservations are recommended especially on weekends and in August - We did not have reservations and therefore had to wait ~25 minutes (BTW - the hostess told us that it would take 25 minutes and it was EXACTLY 25 minutes). It was well worth the wait. I had trout baked in pesto, and my wife had pink trout. Both were accurately cooked - soft and juicy, not dry. The kids had pasta and nibbled fish from our plates. The mezzes kept comping to the table and the service was courteous and quick (which was impressive considering the place was packed).
